Lennon wasn't there at that particular moment, he was late, and this was what they were doing while they were waiting for him.

Even repetition to repetition you can see McCartney making and implementing revisions both musically and lyrically on the fly. Plus, George already figuring the fills out and Ringo thinking of a beat to go with it. Amazing.

Hofnervis a very tough bass to play and McCartney handles it with ease. He was a guitar player first. That helps I think. Fender Jazz is so much sleeker and easier to play in my opinion but old Paul loves his Horner😊👍
