Yes you could just sit back and relax as Paul just dealt with everything thrown at him. It was an art form as you say. Always chosen in the CB position when the likes of Ferguson and Charlton picked their best World 11's

My favourite was when he'd run alongside an attacker, get to the ball and trap it dead but run on another 5 yards or so and the forward would be fooled somehow that the ball was still with God so he'd run on with him. God then turned back and played the ball upfield. Genius !
