Yes, this is what I said in the video when I quoted Sinai. The problem is the Quran never specifies content beyond broad generalization. For example, it says the Torah is scripture, which would be content. Sinai doesn’t then say that means the Quran determines what is true and false in the Torah, as Paul claimed.

The Qurʿān not exactly specifying which verses are added and corrupted is a nonsensical objection. The Qurʿān describing itself as the guardian and the criterion clearly shows that anything that explicitly contradicts the Qurʿān from the previous scriptures is not revelation

The Quran never says that, and merely being a guardian doesn’t mean the Quran claims to be correcting. Especially since, in multiple verses, it says it’s confirming what is with us (e.g. Surah 2:41, 91, 101, 3:3-4, 4:47; 5:68; 10:37, 94). So it’s not a nonsensical objection. Even if muhaymin means criterion (and it doesn’t) it still would be confirming our scriptures, not correcting.

According to Sinai, that’s exactly what being a guardian means (forming an unimpeachable standard about the meaning and content of prior revelations, and being a final arbiter over what their revelation means and consists of). And as Sinai points out, confirming ≠ repeating

Plus, nowhere does the Quran ever specify beyond saying Torah, Gospel, Psalms, and what has been revealed to you from your Lord. That is what the Quran specifies as the content, which is what we have been pointing out. That’s the problem for the Quran. So this changes nothing for the Islamic dilemma, as I pointed out in the video.
