That’s a sign you shouldn’t be on that road, it’s not made for cyclists - you’ve prob made people late for appointments and meeting friends. Have a think about how you really can ruin peoples day. Stick to cycle paths. They exist for you.

Cycle paths simply don't exist where I live. I am riding to work. This route is pleasant, fairly direct and has many places where drivers can overtake me easily. There was too much oncoming traffic for them to overtake me on this occasion so I stopped briefly.

Top fella, only ever seen one other cyclist do this and it was me. Respect!

I did that for a lorry driver the other morning. Got a lovely toot toot. I know he and I had a better day because of that moment.

I think 3 at least I could see. They can usually overtake me before this point, but there was more oncoming traffic than usual.

Top draw. It’s not hard, it doesn’t inconvenience too much and everyone thinks you’re awesome for doing it. Additionally I’m guessing it’s a bit tight further up so some self preservation/risk management. 10/10 👍🏻 If only more were like you.

I wouldn't.... this is a country lane nowhere near a school with few cyclists. On school routes drivers can jolly well wait!
