This man ordered some pizza for dinner. He knows delivery drivers don’t carry much money and he only had a $100 bill. So he called down and explained to them and the employee said it was fine. When the delivery driver came out with the food he says he can’t break a $100 and only has $15 on him. The man tries to explain that he only has the $100 and that he already spoke to someone at the shop. The man is now refusing to give the pizza back and suggests the driver takes the $100 and comes back with change but the driver said no, since it was a busy day. Should the man give the food back since he did try to pay and they declined his payment?

During this Estimates hearing, I questioned the NDIA regarding an investigative series on NDIS fraud by Pete Zogoulas and Drew Pavlou, asking if the agency had launched any audits, compliance actions, or law enforcement referrals based on their reports. I specifically tried to ask about any investigations into individuals named Jamal Sabsabi, Josef Yusif and Marcia De Menezes. Mr Dardo declined to comment on individual cases and defended the agency's broader enforcement system. He emphasised that the agency has identified and removed thousands of fraudulent providers through both public prosecutions and non-public measures, such as manual payment reviews and search warrants. Mr Dardo further stated that journalists would have no way of knowing the full scope of the NDIA's confidential actions, adding that some public matters highlighted in the videos had already been actioned by the agency long before the series was produced.

In a busy convenient store, a woman grabbed a slice straight off the counter and started eating like it was already hers. No payment. No permission. Just confidence. When she finally went to pay and her card was declined, she shrugged and said she “didn’t want it anymore.” Didn’t want it anymore. Retail workers watched in disbelief as she tried to walk away from a slice she had already eaten. No apology. No accountability. Just entitlement. And this isn’t rare…employees say it happens all the time. People sampling products, opening drinks, eating food….then acting shocked when they’re expected to pay. If you can’t pay, don’t eat. It’s that simple. When did personal responsibility become optional…and should stores start pressing charges for behavior like this?

In response to a question on the expansion of Coimbatore airport, I noted that our state would only lease the needed land to the AAI/Union Govt, and not transfer ownership to them, as before. The lease would include a clause that the lease amount would be kept at a minimum token value as long as the airport was operated by AAI itself. If the Union Govt decides to hand over the airport to private players, the lease payments to Tamil Nadu would go up to reflect the then-prevailing market value of the land, or we should get an equity stake in the airport equivalent to the then-prevailing value of the land. And that TN has declined AAI’s suggestion that they should have the right to sub-lease the land to a private operator (at the concessional lease rent) without our consent (and at the token value lease payment). He had been rushed there by his friends after being attacked earlier in the night, Despite having SHA, Kenyatta National Hospital declined to attend to him, demanding for upfront payment before being admitted to ICU, having failed to raise the money, his poor parents started calling friends and relatives to chip in and help as the poor boy remained on the Accident and Emergency bed writhing in pain. By the time his friends and relatives arrived, he had passed on since no care was offered. His friends started agitating and demanding for answers, Kenyatta National Hospital security responded by detaining them, but as the crowd increased, they were released and decided to take the body with them. Kenyatta National Hospital management must tell Kenyans if it is a money making facility or an Hospital 🤔🤔. His friends arrived late to save him😭😭😭. Why decline SHA if it is working? Altercation at Doory Bottle Store in Roodepoort Raises Concerns A serious altercation involving allegations of assault and possible gender-based violence has been reported at Doory Bottle Store on 5th Avenue in Florida, Roodepoort. A bystander can be heard urging those involved to stop. The situation escalated further when the customer, appearing distressed, threw nearby tiles toward the owner. Yesterday, Air France deboarded an unruly passenger at the Abuja International Airport. His disruptive behaviour in the aircraft was a safety risk for other passengers. Since he did not possess a Nigerian visa, he was not allowed into Abuja. Being a French national, he was visited by staff of the French Embassy and a doctor and then granted accommodation in the hotel within the airport terminal. Later, British Airways deboarded him due to the same unruly behaviour he had put up aboard Air France. Today, he was supposed to depart via Asky but could not present evidence of payment for the e-'ticket' he presented. The airline declined to airlift him. Immigration officials had quite a hectic time handling the erratic passenger who can be seen littering our clean terminal with what seems to be tissue paper and screaming, "My passport, my passport." Apparently, the Immigration officers wanted to ensure that he boarded his flight before handing the passenger his international passport to prevent him from escaping through the exit gate and into the city. NCAA Consumer Protection regional head, Miriam Anosike, understanding the security, safety, and diplomatic ramifications of the case, addressed Air France personnel sternly, reminding them that they brought the passenger to Nigeria and must be responsible for airlifting him out of Nigeria as he is becoming a liability to the country. "If you are afraid to airlift him, why do you expect other airlines to be responsible for him? Get him a ticket and move him tomorrow!" I salute Miriam, whose years of experience as CPO came in handy. Tomorrow night, we will monitor Air France operations to ensure that the passenger is safely airlifted. Kudos to the men of the NIS who also kept their cool all through.
