Our nation deserves to be in the EU along with all of our Europe’s free nations. There’s no alternative to EU borders reaching the frontiers of democratic Europe. This will protect our values politically while also ensuring the continent’s economic security, peace, and freedom.

"The EU must spend its budget on Ukraine" — Danish Prime Minister Frederiksen delivered a passionate speech in Berlin in support of funding the war. "Russia is testing our resilience and threatening us. We see hybrid attacks all over Europe. This happens almost every day. We must rearm and continue to support Ukraine. More weapons, more ammunition. And we must protect our borders. Just recently, we saw once again how aggression truly threatens Europe. We must control our borders. We must stand together to ensure the safety of our citizens. Therefore, the EU budget must prioritize security and defense, continue to provide significant support to Ukraine, and protect our external borders."

This includes the Ramstein meeting, discussions in Kyiv, and later, participation in the Munich Security Conference. It is crucial that we all work together to bring about real peace and effective security guarantees—the security of our people, our state, our economic relations, and, importantly, our resource resilience—not just for Ukraine, but for the entire free world. All of this is being decided now—by Ukraine and our partners. Peace is always a collective effort.
