I recently attended a campaign event for Greg Abbott where he discussed property taxes, and I asked him why nonprofit hospitals were not paying their fair share. In classic politician fashion, he deflected and blamed someone else. This is a logical way to lower the tax burden for Texans, and I hope our leaders will look into it.
