Was only 2 in 1977 when we had the mother of all blizzards here but this has to be second...never seen anything like this. It's like "The Day After Tomorrow" bad here currently...

This isn't AI, this is the Ohio side of Lake Erie as a "snow squall", a sudden burst of intense lake effect snow, accompanied by strong winds & near-zero visibility, often described as a whiteout, causing dangerous conditions for travelers. Pretty sweet!

Check out the worst #blizzard I have ever chased on Christmas Eve of 2022 in Buffalo. This blizzard had 80 mph winds, 4-5” per hour snowfall rates, thunder and lightning, and a seiche or storm surge like phenomenon off Lake Erie. People lost their lives trapped in vehicles. The recent bomb cyclone event on the shore of North Carolina had 35-40 mph sustained winds with gusts over 50, and 1-2” per hour snowfall rates. Still a #blizzard and life threatening conditions.
