His legacy is of a great footballer, certainly not the greatest. Far from it in fact. He wouldnโt make my top three. His legacy is FIFA trying their best (worst) to prop him up as a potential challenger to the actual goat, Diego Armando Maradona. Why? Because Diego was not a conformist. Because Diego did not sell his soul to the corporate corridors of power. On sheer ability, and passion, and influence on the game, Diego Armando Maradona is untouchable.
