Pence on whether Canada should be the 51st state: “I think Canada has been a great ally of ours, whose soldiers have fought and died alongside Americans in every war since World War I.”

This is one of the sides of Pence that a lot of people dislike. He dodged the question with a history lesson. Canada isn’t applying for statehood, it’s already a sovereign nation that wants to stay that way. Respecting allies means not fantasizing about annexing them. And still hope to retain their alliance and friendship.

Pence is saying the right things, but too little too late. Where was this guy during Trump’s first Administration? It just goes to show he knew better when he was bending over backwards to cover for Trump.

Canadian here.....I really don't care to hear what America's opinion is of the issue anymore. It's clear that even the journalists, can't respect the sovereignty of a country and not treat it like a debate to be had. I daresay we are being used for click-bait and info-tainment
