#PennState RB Nick Singleton just left Senior Bowl practice with an injury sustained during 1-on-1s. Walked off the field, got looked at by trainers then limped to the locker room. We’ll see if he returns. Today is the final Senior Bowl practice before Saturday’s game.

Notre Dame quarterback Riley Leonard is still slowly making his way through a stadium line with fans — signing autographs, taking pictures and videos, telling stories and just being the guy he is. Whatever his future in the NFL holds — Riley Leonard has made a special impact on this game and the Gulf Coast.

This Riley Leonard video might be the most WHOLESOME video you see this week. Before the Senior Bowl game, Riley let a young fan pray over him. “Jesus I pray for you to help Riley with this game, not let him get injured, and let him be victorious.” Leonard finished the game 6/7 (88%) for 54 passing yards. Throughout the week, Leonard was reportedly “one of the best” QB’s in attendance and increased his draft stock. Prayers were answered and the NFL is getting themselves a STUD at QB 👏

A few notes from day 1 of #Saints camp: - Short practice. Heat not a factor (that'll change) - All the non PUP players were in action (a few roster spots still open). Always a nice thing at this stage. - Rattler took 1st team reps (Shough will get 1st team tomorrow). Low-key practice in general. Rattler looked the most composed out of the three. Best throw was a layered ball to Olave on a deep dig. - A lot of designed QB runs today - Shough looked like a rookie getting into 11s for the first time -- some tough moments (a couple would-be sacks). The good news is that's exactly what he is. I expect him to settle in quickly. - We saw some combined drills. WRs working with RBs. TEs working with LBs. Just a practice tweak. - Jordan Howden got first-team reps next to Justin Reid. Will be interesting to see what happens when Blackmon shows up. - Haener had a couple nice balls to Michael Jacobson. Depth TE roles are suddenly very interesting to watch. - RB2/3 is very much up for grabs. Sounds like it'll be a rotation from day-to-day. Devin Neal got some work with the 1s. - Blake Grupe kicked today, went 5-for-5 (longest from 49) ... some decent left to right wind

Izzo story time… Went to a practice in 2021 with Tim Bograkos and his son, Ty… Halfway thru practice, Izzo asks Ty if he has ever seen his dad’s game winner vs Kentucky… Ty had not, so Iz sent a video guy to go to the vault to find the game. 20 minutes later, they stopped practice, and I was able to record an all-time father son moment as Ty and his dad relived that moment in front of the current team at that time while Izzo explained the classic “sixth option” story, Practice time is PRECIOUS so this was no small deed. But people are also precious and this was one of those moments where you see the person behind all the wins. Was very thoughtful and telling about how he feels about PEOPLE!

Kapaun takes down #4 in 6A Wichita Heights 56-53 off this buzzer beater from senior Corbin Johnson. Johnson scored the Crusaders’ final 10 points for the win. Looking back at Nabers' unrealized air yards.. This was a play the Giants called in an open-media practice in August. Nabers had four steps on the CB. The ball hung up & Flott got a PBU. They tried it in a real game. Got the look they wanted (easier to see from sideline angle), but the ball has to be led to the sideline. Far hash throw. Not easy. This play was then scrapped for the rest of the year. The question is does Daboll have faith to bring it back with Russ? Russ may not have the biggest arm but he can put air under it and make this throw.

Jose Caballero having a blast on his way to the dugout after taking Canada’s soul. Cabby is an awesome bottom-of-the-order bat for the Yankees, and one of the league's better agitators. He is one of those guys who won’t play in an all-star game, and he’ll give you league-average production at best, but he always finds a way to impact a game, be it with his speed, or, today against the Blue Jays, by hitting an absolute bomb. Even if he's not the answer at short, you love the way he embraces whatever role he gets out in.
