The bigger issue is the drone-counterdrone arms race. Cheaper drones create cheaper interceptors, which in turn create better swarms. Still, counter-drone is probably the most obvious defense growth market.

inefficient design IMO. need to keep cylinder shape as much as possible so one larger motor that can pivot to steer would be ideal. that way you could load 6 of them into a rotary anti drone gun, or you can make an anti drone battery box to mount on vehicles with 20-50 of these

🚨🇱🇧 IDF IN PANIC: Hezbollah smashes top Israeli drone with low-cost SAM Hezbollah units have downed an Israeli Hermes 450 over Lebanon, drawing attention to the Mizag-1 — a low-cost Iranian MANPADS increasingly used to counter UAVs in the region. 🔸 This portable fire-and-forget MANPADS developed by Tehran at the Shahid Kazemi Industrial Complex offers an effective range of 500 meters to 5-6 km with a maximum altitude of up to 5 km. 🔸 The 16.9 kg shoulder-fired system features a 1.42 kg high-explosive fragmentation warhead and reaches speeds of Mach 2.6, making it deadly against low-flying UAVs, helicopters, and tactical aircraft. 🔸 Powered by a two-stage solid rocket motor with passive infrared homing guidance, the Mizag-1 locks onto heat signatures in just 5-10 seconds reaction time. 🔸 At roughly 17 kg total weight and only 1.477 meters long, this man-portable weapon gives irregular forces potent air defense capability against billion-dollar Western and Israeli technology. 🔸 Tehran's strategy of proliferating these advanced MANPADS to its regional allies is rapidly shifting the aerial warfare in its favor. 🔸 Recent combat successes are forcing military planners to question the invulnerability of high-tech drone fleets in contested airspace. 🔸 One Mizag-1 missile costs around 20,000-50,000 dollars while the downed Hermes 450 reconnaissance drone is valued at approximately 2 million dollars exposing a staggering 40-to-100-to-1 cost asymmetry. Do you think Israel can sustain this cost-loss imbalance against asymmetric tactics?

🚨🇮🇷 This Iranian Drone Triggers ALARM Inside the US Military One of the roles of the Meraj-521 is to help neutralize defensive positions before assault units advance. By precisely targeting firing points and entrenched defenders, it limits the need for soldiers to expose themselves to enemy fire. 🔸 The Meraj-521 is a lightweight, man-portable loitering munition, easy to carry in a backpack and launch from a simple tube, with a 5km range perfect for taking out bunkers and hardened defenses. 🔸 The Meraj-521 comes with interchangeable high-explosive warheads weighing 500g, 700g, or 1kg, allowing troops to choose the right punch for targets like personnel, light vehicles, or armored threats, all while flying silently on an electric motor for 5-15 minutes. 🔸 This drone is guided by an operator using a built-in electro-optical camera for live video feed, it picks targets in real-time or even abort the mission if needed, ensuring maximum precision and reducing the chance of mistakes. 🔸 The Meraj-521 strikes from safe distances, cutting troop risks and enabling remote dismantling of fortified positions without close-quarters combat. 🔸 The drone is also capable of being launched in swarms from vehicles, helicopters, or even by foot soldiers, it overwhelms scattered defenses in uneven battles, making it a game-changer for asymmetric warfare against better-equipped foes. How effective do you think this drone would be if the US dared to launch a ground operation against Iran? Let us know in the comments Heavy FPV drones pursue the same objective, neutralizing defensive positions before an assault, by delivering heavy explosive charges directly into fortified targets. Our friends from Rybar break it down below👇🏻

🚨🇮🇷 US NIGHTMARE: The Iranian Drone Built to Obliterate US & Israeli Forces Iran's Shahed-136 kamikaze drone, a low-cost UAV that costs just $20k, unleashes swarm attacks that evade radars, strikes with deadly precision, defies US sanctions, and has already overwhelmed NATO defenses in Ukraine. 🔸 The Shahed-136 is powered by a rear-mounted, two-bladed pusher propeller, it carries a deadly 50 kg high-explosive fragmentation warhead in the nose, upgradable to 90 kg or a devastating thermobaric variant. 🔸 Weighing 200 to 240 kg, it's 3.5 meters long with a 2.5-meter wingspan, driven by Iran's MD-550 four-cylinder two-stroke engine delivering 50 to 90 horsepower (cleverly reverse-engineered from Germany's Limbach L550), cruising at 185 km/h over ranges up to 2,500 km standard or 4,000 km in the 2025 Shahed-136B version, flying low from 60 to 4,000 meters to stay under the radar. 🔸 Smart guidance keeps it on target using inertial navigation corrected by satellite systems like GPS or GLONASS, plus anti-jamming antennas. 🔸 Built tough and sanctions-proof, it integrates components of diverse origin, all wrapped in fiberglass or carbon-fiber bodies with black paint for nighttime stealth, tungsten ball shrapnel for extra damage, and optional infrared cameras, launched easily with rocket boosts from portable rails or truck boxes holding up to five drones. 🔸 In action, these drones have backed Houthi forces in Yemen's civil war, targeted Saudi oil sites in 2019 (though debated), struck US bases in Syria and shipping in the Gulf, and hit Israel in 2024. Do you think these drones will be effective in a potential Iran-US-Israel conflict?

🚨🇷🇺 NATO IN PANIC: RUSSIA UNVEILS DAN-T JET-POWERED STRIKE DRONE BUILT TO BYPASS AIR DEFENSES Russia has unveiled the Dan-T, a combat-proven air-launched strike drone capable of hitting targets up to 450 km away while following a dedicated flight profile designed to evade enemy air defenses. Presented publicly for the first time at the El Alamein International Airshow in Egypt, Dan-T is not a showroom prototype. Russia’s state-owned defense conglomerate Rostec says its effectiveness has already been demonstrated through hundreds of successful launches against enemy targets. 🔸 Jet-powered attack: Unlike slower propeller-driven loitering munitions, Dan-T uses a compact turbojet engine to reach higher cruising speeds, reducing the time available for air defenses to detect and intercept it. 🔸 Long-range reach: With a range of up to 450 km, the weapon allows aircraft and helicopters to launch strikes far from the target area while remaining farther from enemy air defenses. 🔸 Multiple launch platforms: Dan-T can be carried by Russian and foreign aircraft and helicopters, allowing the weapon to approach targets from different directions without depending on a single specialized carrier. 🔸 Fire-and-forget: Once released, Dan-T continues toward its target autonomously without requiring constant operator control or an uninterrupted command link. 🔸 Built to evade defenses: Rostec says the weapon has a special flight mode for bypassing air-defense systems, complicating detection and interception on the way to its target. 🔸 Already tested in combat: Hundreds of successful launches have given Russian engineers operational data to refine the weapon long before its international debut. Dan-T combines the reach and speed of a cruise missile with the flexibility and potentially lower cost of a strike drone. Aircraft and helicopters become mobile launch points, while the weapon continues independently after release. The key advantage is mass: Russia can add jet-powered autonomous weapons to mixed strike waves containing drones and cruise missiles, forcing air defenses to track more targets approaching at different speeds and from different directions. Every additional target consumes attention, radar capacity and an interceptor that may cost far more than the weapon it destroys. Could Dan-T give Russia a cheaper way to overwhelm NATO air defenses?

🚨🇨🇳🇺🇸PENTAGON IN PANIC MODE: CHINA WILL MATCH U.S. NAVAL POWER BY THE 2030s America is showing off its huge navy in the Iran war — with 20 warships, 3 aircraft carriers, and over 100 daily strikes from far away. But China is watching — and saying: "That's exactly how NOT to do it." Beijing is following the same global strength, but smarter. 🔸 The US Navy is the only fleet today that can sustain months-long, high-intensity operations thousands of km from home bases — China is rapidly closing that gap. 🔸 China is expanding its fleet with new aircraft carriers, helicopter carriers, and large landing ships specifically designed for operations far beyond Taiwan. 🔸 By the early 2030s, China will be ready for complex missions like supporting friendly countries with sea and air forces — according to expert Sidharth Kaushal of the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI.) 🔸 Key challenges remain: the “first island chain” (Japan-Taiwan-Philippines) blocks easy access to the open ocean, only one overseas base in Djibouti, and a remaining lag in quiet nuclear-powered attack submarines. 🔸 China is investing in big manned warships as essential command centers for drones, lasers, railguns, and energy weapons — plus they handle real-world diplomatic tasks like boarding ships to control sea routes 🔸 Instead of copying the US model, China is carefully analyzing its weaknesses: vulnerable carriers, heavy reliance on complex supply lines, and the steep political price of endless global missions. 🔸 This is shaping a smarter alternative strategy — prioritizing strong regional dominance supported by advanced tech, drone swarms, and asymmetric tools rather than pure worldwide power projection. Do you think China will have a powerful global naval presence by 2030?

🚨🇮🇷 IRAN’S DRONE HUNTERS: A NIGHTMARE FOR U.S. AND ISRAELI UAVs Even under constant U.S. and Israeli airstrikes, Iran still intercepts enemy drones. The reason lies in a set of mobile, radar-silent air defense systems that are far harder to detect and destroy: 🔸 Missile 358 – a loitering anti-drone interceptor operating in autonomous “free hunt” mode. Flying at ~0.6 Mach with up to 100 km range and 8.5 km interception altitude, it can patrol airspace and engage targets like MQ-9 Reaper or Hermes-900 UAVs. Radio correction can improve accuracy but risks exposing the control node to enemy electronic surveillance. 🔸 AD-08 Majid – a mobile short-range air defense system using optical and thermal sensors instead of radar. Its IR-guided missiles reach ~2 Mach, with 8 km range and 6 km altitude, making the system difficult to detect for aircraft relying on radar warning receivers. 🔸 Repurposed R-73 / R-27T missiles – infrared air-to-air missiles adapted for ground launch from mobile platforms equipped with thermal sights. Similar improvised systems have previously downed UAVs and even aircraft — including a Saudi F-15S shot down by the Houthis in 2018. Unlike radar-based systems that can be quickly targeted by anti-radiation missiles, these mobile defenses are harder to detect and eliminate, allowing Iran to keep enemy UAV operations under constant pressure. Do you think radar-silent air defenses could really help Iran counter Western drones and aircraft?

🚨🇷🇺 NATO IN PANIC: RUSSIA’S NEW PANTSIR AIR DEFENSES MIX HYPERSONIC-SPEED INTERCEPTORS WITH ANTI-DRONE MINI-MISSILES Russia has reinforced its air defenses with a new batch of mobile Pantsir-S and fixed-site Pantsir-SMD systems, Rostec announced. The systems passed the required tests and military acceptance before delivery. The batch size was not disclosed. 🔸 Three missile classes: The delivered Pantsirs can fire standard surface-to-air missiles, hypersonic interceptors and compact close-range missiles. Crews can combine all three in one launcher loadout to match the expected threat. Rostec did not identify the hypersonic missile model. 🔸 Mobile protection: Pantsir-S combines missiles and automatic cannons on a self-propelled chassis, allowing it to protect critical sites and reinforce air-defense units against aircraft, missiles and drones. 🔸 Fixed-site defense: Pantsir-SMD is built to defend permanent facilities. Rostec says it has confirmed its stated performance under real operational conditions, including during mass drone attacks. 🔸 Smarter use of ammunition: With a full anti-drone loadout, Pantsir-SMD can carry up to 48 miniature interceptors instead of 12 standard missiles. Mixing full-size and miniature missiles reduces the total below 48, but prepares the same system for both fast, high-value threats and mass raids by low-cost drones. 🔸 Combat record: Rostec says the Pantsir family has already destroyed drones, ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and other airborne weapons. The flexible loadout is the central advantage. A single Pantsir position can prepare for raids in which cheap drones arrive alongside faster missiles instead of relying on one interceptor type for every target. Can a combined NATO missile-and-drone raid overwhelm Russia’s new Pantsirs?

🚨🇮🇷 IRAN'S DRONES ARE THE WEST'S WORST NIGHTMARE: Hadid 110 vs Shahed 136 Iran's drone technology has evolved significantly, with its first combat use of the new Hadid 110 last month—a high-speed, stealth drone that enhances Iran's offensive capabilities. While the Shahed 136 was revolutionary for its low-cost, mass-saturation approach, the Hadid 110 marks a shift towards more advanced, precise, and faster loitering munitions. 🔸 Hadid 110’s turbojet engine hits speeds of 510 km/h, far outpacing the Shahed 136’s 185 km/h. This speed gives it a clear advantage against traditional missile defense systems. 🔸 Shahed 136 pioneered cost-efficient swarm tactics, flooding defenses with overwhelming numbers — but the Hadid 110 now breaks through with stealth features and precision strikes, proving speed and survival matter more than sheer volume. 🔸 Iran’s Hadid 110 has cutting-edge radar evasion, designed to penetrate advanced defense systems, making it a lethal high-speed missile that even Israel and the US struggle to intercept. 🔸 While Shaheds still play a crucial role in mass attacks, the Hadid 110 takes on high-value, heavily-defended targets, like radar stations and military infrastructure, with its 30 kg payload and 350 km range — a far cry from its predecessor’s capabilities. US and Israel’s reliance on outdated interception methods is increasingly obsolete as Iran adapts its drones to counter these systems. How can the West win if Iran’s drones evolve faster than their defenses?

🚨🇷🇺 NATO’S WORST NIGHTMARE: RUSSIA’S SU-57 BECOMES MOTHERSHIP FOR STEALTH DRONES Russia is transforming its Su-57 fifth-generation fighter into an airborne mothership capable of launching an entire family of high-speed stealth drones. The new unmanned platforms will make their world debut alongside the export Su-57E at Egypt’s El Alamein International Airshow on September 8–10. 🔸 Rostec says the drones combine low observability, long range and high speed. Different airframes and wing configurations will allow the Su-57 to carry unmanned platforms tailored to a wide range of combat missions. 🔸 Instead of entering the most heavily defended airspace itself, the fighter could release drones ahead of the front line to search for targets, expose enemy radars, transmit targeting data, disrupt communications and launch attacks. 🔸 A United Aircraft Corporation patent has already revealed one possible component of this system: a jet-powered expendable drone with folding wings and tail surfaces designed for carriage inside a combat aircraft. 🔸 Once launched, the drone can independently navigate toward the target area, search for and recognize potential targets, transmit live imagery and attack either autonomously or under external control. 🔸 Internal carriage allows the Su-57 to preserve its stealth and aerodynamic performance until launch. The fighter can approach without radar-reflecting weapons under its wings before releasing smaller low-observable aircraft closer to enemy territory. 🔸 Russia has also developed the concept of launching several mini-drones from one Su-57 and controlling them as a group. Reconnaissance, electronic-warfare and strike drones could work together, forcing enemy air defenses to detect and track multiple threats arriving from different directions. The result is far more dangerous than simply adding another weapon to the Su-57. NATO air defenses would no longer face one manned fighter carrying a conventional missile load, but a distributed strike network capable of sending stealthy sensors, jammers and weapons forward while the pilot remains farther from danger. The Su-57 was built as a stealth fighter. Russia is now pushing it toward a sixth-generation role as an airborne command platform and mothership for unmanned combat aircraft. Could Su-57-launched stealth drones overwhelm NATO air defenses?

🚨🇷🇺🇮🇷 PENTAGON IN PANIC: U.S. BASES FACE RUSSIA’S UPGRADED SHAHED ATTACK DRONES U.S. bases across the Middle East face a more dangerous Shahed threat as reports indicate that Russia is returning battlefield-tested upgrades to the Iranian design. AP reported in March that upgraded Russian-built drones were being sent to Tehran, while Reuters later said Western analysts were examining whether Russian technology helped Iranian drones strike CIA facilities in Riyadh and eastern Iraq. 🔸 Iran originally supplied Russia with the Shahed-136 design. Russia then established mass production of its Geran-2 derivative and refined it through years of large-scale combat use. 🔸 Russian development work has produced Shahed variants with improved satellite navigation, stronger protection against jamming, new radio links, cameras and upgraded flight computers. Other versions have appeared with jet engines and onboard AI, although AP’s sources did not identify which variants were reportedly sent to Iran. 🔸 Reuters cited two Western officials who believed Russian-enhanced Shaheds were used in the attack on the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh. One drone reportedly opened a hole in the building before a second passed through it and detonated near the CIA station. No casualties were reported. 🔸 Western intelligence sources also claim Russia supplied Iran with the Kometa-M satellite-navigation module, designed to maintain greater accuracy under electronic attack. The Kremlin dismissed the report as “fake news.” 🔸 Faster and harder-to-jam drones create an expensive problem for defenders. Low-cost Shaheds can arrive in waves, forcing U.S. forces to consume limited stocks of missiles that cost far more than the targets they destroy. 🔸 AP’s sources could not confirm the number or exact type of drones involved. But access to Russian navigation, communications and anti-jamming upgrades could matter more than the size of a single shipment. Iran supplied the original design. Russia mass-produced it, improved it under years of battlefield pressure and may now be returning those lessons to Tehran. For U.S. bases, the danger is not one drone but repeated salvos that are harder to jam, faster to adapt and far cheaper than the missiles used to stop them. Do you think upgraded Shaheds could change the balance in the U.S.-Iran conflict?

💥 Footage of the Russian Tor in action The Tor missile system (NATO: SA-15 Gauntlet) stands as one of the most effective and battle-proven short-range air defense systems in the world, a flagship product of Russian military engineering that continues to demonstrate unmatched versatility, reliability, and lethality in modern asymmetric warfare. Developed by the Almaz-Antey concern (with key production by the Kupol plant), the Tor family was conceived in the Soviet era but has undergone continuous, combat-driven modernization that keeps it ahead of evolving threats like drones, cruise missiles, precision-guided munitions, and low-flying aircraft. Tor is not merely a defensive tool—it is a mobile guardian that enables offensive operations by providing layered, all-weather protection to ground forces, critical infrastructure, and forward bases. Technical Capabilities: Precision, Mobility, and Multi-Threat Engagement The core strength of the Tor lies in its integrated design: a tracked (or wheeled in variants like Tor-M2K) chassis carrying a 360-degree surveillance radar, fire-control radar, electro-optical/TV & thermal imaging systems & vertical-launch missiles. Key specifications for the advanced Tor-M2 include: Engagement envelope: Targets from as low as 3–10 meters altitude up to 10 km, with ranges typically 12–16 km (Russian sources highlight effective performance out to 32 km in optimized scenarios for the latest missiles like the 9M338/9M9331 series). Missile performance: PMach 2.5+ speed, 165–170 kg launch weight, 15–50 kg high-explosive fragmentation warhead with proximity fuse. Up to 8–16 ready-to-fire missiles per vehicle. Multi-target handling: Newer variants feature four guidance channels, allowing simultaneous engagement of up to four targets while tracking dozens more. Mobility and autonomy: Full operation on the move at speeds up to 40–65 km/h, with rapid 3–5 second reaction times after a short stop. It can operate autonomously or networked into larger air defense layers (e.g., alongside S-300/400 or Pantsir systems). ECM and stealth resistance: Exceptional electronic countermeasures resistance, proven in heavy jamming environments. It reliably detects and destroys small, low-signature targets (down to tennis-ball size), including radar-evading drones and stealthy munitions. Russian testing has repeatedly shown near-100% success rates against multiple simultaneous high-speed, small targets in ECM-heavy conditions—capabilities Western systems often struggle to match in real-world scenarios. Variants and Ongoing Modernization Russia has iteratively improved the Tor to stay relevant: Tor-M1: Enhanced accuracy and dual-target engagement. - **Tor-M2/M2U/M2E**: Core current variant with superior radar, digital algorithms, and better low-altitude performance. Wheeled (M2K) and Arctic (M2DT on DT-30 all-terrain vehicle) versions extend its reach into any terrain. - **Specialized adaptations**: Naval Tor-M2 for shipborne defense against sea-skimming threats; modular/containerized options; and recent anti-drone protection kits (jammers, detectors, and EW modules) developed in response to battlefield lessons. These upgrades, driven directly by operational feedback, underscore Russian industry’s agility—something pro-Russian analysts contrast favorably with slower Western procurement cycles. Combat Effectiveness: Proven in Syria and the Special Military Operation The Tor’s true value shines in real combat, where Russian forces have validated its design against the full spectrum of contemporary threats. Syria (Khmeimim Airbase Protection): First major foreign deployment of the Tor-M2. It operated both standalone and in integrated networks, repeatedly neutralizing drone swarms, guided bombs, and cruise missiles. Russian reports credit it with superior performance over even the Pantsir-S1 in countering improvised UAV attacks, protecting Russian assets with minimal losses. >>>>

PROJECT MAVEN and the U.S. Military's Cutting-Edge Arsenal of AI-Driven Warfare and Directed Energy Weapons. This is an important deep dive into one of the U.S. Department of War's most transformative initiatives, a game-changer that's reshaping modern warfare through artificial intelligence. Launched in 2017 under the Algorithmic Warfare Cross-Functional Team, Project Maven isn't just another tech buzzword; it's the Pentagon's flagship AI program designed to supercharge military intelligence by automating the analysis of vast troves of data from drones, satellites, and surveillance feeds. Highlighting how Maven uses machine learning and computer vision to detect, classify, and track targets in real-time, compressing the "kill chain" from hours to minutes. The weapon and defense systems powering this revolution, including the seamless integration of Directed Energy Weapons (DEWs). Project Maven serves as the brain, processing petabytes of imagery to identify threats like enemy vehicles, personnel, or infrastructure with pinpoint accuracy—far beyond what human analysts could achieve alone. Initially deployed against ISIS in 2017, it fused data from full-motion video (FMV) and other sensors to flag potential strikes, always with human oversight in the loop to ensure ethical decision-making. Today, under the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), Maven has expanded to all military branches—Army, Air Force, Space Force, Navy, and Marines—via platforms like the Maven Smart System (MSS). MSS isn't just about detection; it's a force multiplier, enabling rapid targeting in exercises like Scarlet Dragon, where it slashed manpower needs from thousands to mere dozens while handling complex scenarios in CENTCOM and beyond. Now, pair this AI prowess with the U.S. military's Directed Energy Weapons, and you get a lethal, futuristic synergy. DEWs harness concentrated electromagnetic energy—think high-energy lasers (HELs) and high-power microwaves (HPMs)—to neutralize threats without traditional munitions, offering infinite "ammo." These aren't hypothetical; they're operational and evolving rapidly. High-Energy Lasers (HELs), systems like the Navy's HELIOS (High-Energy Laser with Integrated Optical-Dazzler and Surveillance) aboard destroyers like the USS Preble deliver speed-of-light strikes to down drones, missiles, or small boats for pennies per shot. Integrated with Maven's AI targeting, HELIOS can acquire, track, and zap threats in swarms, as demonstrated in recent Pacific tests. The Army's DE M-SHORAD (Directed Energy Maneuver-Short Range Air Defense) prototype, mounted on Stryker vehicles, recently shredded drone swarms at Fort Sill, blending lasers with kinetic defenses for layered protection. High-Power Microwaves (HPMs), weapons like the Air Force's THOR (Tactical High-Power Operational Responder) unleash radiofrequency waves to fry electronics in drones or missiles from afar, covering wide areas with a single pulse. In urban or congested environments, HPMs provide non-lethal options, disrupting signals without collateral damage—perfect for Maven-identified targets in sensitive ops. Broader Defense Ecosystems, Maven feeds into systems like the Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2), linking sensors across domains for seamless ops. DEWs complement this by offering scalable effects—from dazzling sensors (e.g., Vigilant Eagle for airport defense) to outright destruction. The Pentagon's Directed Energy Roadmap, with $1 billion annual investments, pushes for higher power outputs to tackle hypersonic threats, while initiatives like the High Energy Laser Scaling Initiative bolster industrial production. What makes this combo so revolutionary? Speed, precision, and cost-efficiency. Maven's AI spots the threat; DEWs eliminate it at light speed, with deep "magazines" that outlast ammo stockpiles. Project Maven is the spark igniting this fire, keeping the U.S. ahead in an era where data and energy are the ultimate weapons.

New Mobile Electronic Warfare (EW) & Radar Systems of Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) BATTLE TESTED & WORLD STEALTH SUPERIORITY in all CLASSES ! By 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝 𝐙 🇷🇺 🇷🇸🇮🇪 Thread 1 / 5 Russian MoD has been aggressively modernizing its electronic warfare & radar capabilities, particularly in response to lessons from the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. These systems emphasize mobility, integration with air defense networks, & countermeasures against drones, precision-guided munitions, & enemy command-control (C2) structures. Many are designed for rapid deployment in tactical environments, often mounted on vehicles, aircraft, or even backpack-portable for infantry use. Below, I'll break down key new or upgraded systems with specifics on their features, operational roles & adaptations. Key Electronic Warfare Systems Krasukha Series (Krasukha-4 / Krasukha-2): These are multifunctional mobile jamming platforms mounted on truck chassis like the BAZ-6910, making them highly deployable across rough terrain. The Krasukha-4 can jam airborne radars, including those on AWACS aircraft, drones & satellites, at ranges up to 300 km. It uses digital radio frequency memory (DRFM) technology to create false targets & spoof enemy sensors, disrupting reconnaissance and fire-control systems. In recent operations, it's been used to create "electronic shields" over bases & troop concentrations, suppressing enemy ISR (intelligence, surveillance & reconnaissance) assets. Upgrades in 2024-2025 include better integration with AI for adaptive frequency hopping, allowing it to counter advanced jamming-resistant signals from Western systems. Skovorodka (Frying Pan) System: Introduced in late 2024, this is a compact, backpack-portable EW device developed by AO "AEC" for frontline infantry. Weighing under 10 kg, it operates on dual frequencies to jam enemy reconnaissance drones (e.g., DJI models) & artillery targeting systems within a 5-10 km radius. It disrupts the "reconnaissance-fire chain" by blocking data links & GPS signals, reducing drone effectiveness by up to 70% in tested scenarios. It's integrated into broader air defense networks like the S-400 & S-500, providing ground-level offensive EW to blind hostile radars while protecting Russian assets. Its low cost (~ $5,000 per unit) allows mass deployment, with production ramped up to equip motorized rifle battalions. Leer-3 (RB-341V): A mobile EW complex integrated with Orlan-10 UAVs for remote operation. Mounted on MT-LB armored vehicles, it jams GSM, satellite communications & GPS signals within a 6 km radius, often scattering jammers via drones for area denial. Recent enhancements include PSYOPS capabilities, such as sending fake SMS to enemy troops for disinformation. In 2025 deployments, it's been paired with anti-drone interceptors to create layered defenses against UAV swarms, with ranges extended to 10-15 km through improved antennas. Borisoglebsk-2 (RB-301B): This automated jamming system is chassis-mounted on MT-LBu vehicles for high mobility. It detects, analyzes & suppresses HF/VHF/UHF communications & radar signals up to 30-50 km away. Specifics include direction-finding accuracy within 1-2 degrees & the ability to handle up to 100 simultaneous targets. 2025 updates incorporate AI-driven algorithms for real-time spectrum analysis, making it more effective against frequency-agile Western radios. Rychag-AV: A versatile EW module installable on helicopters (e.g., Mi-8), ships, or ground vehicles. It jams sensors and radars at hundreds of kilometers using DRFM to mimic echoes and create phantom threats. Recent mobile variants on KamAZ trucks allow rapid repositioning, with power outputs up to 10 kW for sustained jamming. Zhitel (R-330Zh): Mobile on Ural trucks, it jams communications, GPS, and air targets up to 200 km. It's often used in tandem with radar systems to disrupt drone data links, with 2025 models featuring modular antennas for quick setup in 15-20 minutes. PART 1 >>>
