The Israeli air force took the Syria route on their way to attack Iran. Israeli Aerial refueling tanker flying over Syria, they are needed to top up fighter jets en route to Iran. Israel facilitated the collapse of the Assad government, so they can use Syria as a transit country for their air strikes. Israel planned this for a long time, it has nothing to do with recent developments, the nuclear talks were just a way to stall for time.
