Bran Stark’s ending is still one of the most controversial parts of Game of Thrones. When Bran said, “An endless night,” it almost feels like he was talking about the alternate ending where he doesn’t end up on the Iron Throne. The biggest issue wasn’t that Bran became king, it was how rushed the buildup felt. With more time, maybe George R.R. Martin could have developed that storyline in a way that felt earned. Unfortunately, we’ll probably never know. Another thing that never sat right with me was the crypts. Bran knew the Night King could raise the dead, yet the women, children, and even Tyrion were sent to hide in a place filled with corpses. 🥀
