One UI, including One UI 8.5, has a long-standing issue with the back gesture: lag. My finger moves, but the animation lags and doesn't follow the finger's response. This puts it behind all other OSes. Comparing One UI 8.5 with vivo's OriginOS5 and OriginOS6 reveals that Samsung's gesture response is the slowest, and I haven't been able to resolve the issue with Home Up. Samsung needs to optimize this. Another problem is that the icons in Samsung's animation are too ugly when they are shrunk. The icons are forcibly stretched to cover the page. Samsung borrowed this from OriginOS 5 at the time, but vivo fixed the problem in OriginOS6, and Samsung One UI 8.5 still has no improvement.

One UI 8.5 is disappointing. The problem of the mis-sliding bug triggered when this gesture is returned has been about 10 versions since I first raised this issue, but it has not been solved so far. Friends from Europe are texting and calling me about the horrendous situation in Amsterdam. In the night of November 7 in Amsterdam there were widespread and terrible raids on Jewish people. After the soccer game Ajax-Maccabi Tel Aviv, large groups of radical moslims violently attacked Jews, injured them, ran over them with cars… 💔 How is this possible? Why did it take the police so long to get there ? Even on European soil we fail to protect human dignity. Is this what we have become ? It's just terrible! Revolting! Imagine you are Jewish. And you know this: as soon as you walk out of your house to go running, go grocery shopping, go to school or to the synagogue, this can happen to you. How would you feel? I spoke about this situation of terrible discriminations this week in parliament. Worrying about antisemitism is not an exaggeration. Fighting it is our responsibility. The Dutch local government has failed. My thoughts are with the victims. I am furious with the Dutch local government. This is what we have become. The way this Minnesota Timberwolves team acts is honestly disgusting… Anthony Edwards was yelling at the ref about how Denver has “4 and-1 threes!!” And they were literally all fouls? Like this is next level insanity. You’re fouling the other team, the refs are calling it and you are complaining about it? It doesn’t make sense to me, and it makes them look so unprofessional. After game 1 Chris Finch was complaining about how Murray had 16 free throws, show me at-least 1 foul that shouldn’t have been called of those he got? Because I haven’t seen a thing. With a team that has so much talent, I feel like so much of their energy is wasted by complaining, complaining, and more complaining. You can’t play basketball like that.
