Not 100% true. I was born a gratifier but learned to defer after learning the hard way…..

Running increases willpower by strengthening the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex. This has what scientists call a "crossover effect," meaning the benefits extend into other areas of life. Running also increases VEGF, which promotes the growth of new blood vessels in the brain!
