I know what she was trying to do at the end. She was trying to calculate how much $1 is actually worth after all the taxes- after it’s been passed around and spent. And she realized in the moment that she can’t bc a dollar gets passed around so many times that by a certain point it’s been taxed several times over its value

Don’t forget about property taxes. Renters think when they buy their first home it’s actually theirs. Even after they pay off the bank the gov continues to charge you rent for the land. Technically everyone is a renter, just different landlords.
