A reminder: Hezbollah's foundational 1985 "Open Letter" (its original charter/manifesto) explicitly calls for the destruction of Israel as a core goal. "Our struggle will end only when this entity [Israel] is obliterated. We recognize no treaty with it, no cease-fire, and no peace agreements, whether separate or consolidated." So there can be no peace with someone whose stated goal is your death.
