people don't understand how big toya's character development is because they forget how cold he was in the beginning of the story so here's a comparison of some of the earliest area convos & one of the later ones.. he literally looked 😐 all the time and rarely smiled or-

expressed his emotions, and it was so hard for people other than akito to tell what he's thinking. so I'm not even exaggerating when i say that toya's gonna be the worst off without vbs and that's why I'm so scared of this world link. for the other members, things would be hard-

for them without each other, but they'd still be fine because they have families, friends and people who care for them. but for toya, he only ever had the tenmas, and they can't help him the same way vbs did. vbs gave him a dream, something he can be passionate about, he had-

a lot of new and fun experiences and eventually he started being more comfortable expressing his emotions and smiling more. he made a lot of new friends in vivid street and with people at his school, he met the vocaloids and the sekai & vivid street became safe places for him.

but in a world where he doesn't meet vbs, all of that would be gone. i thought that he might end up continuing classical music, but with the event synopsis only mentioning that they're "walking separate paths" i think it's also likely that he'd still run away from his father,

because he realized that what his parents were doing was wrong way before he met vbs. he might still run away, but he won't choose street music. he'd do something else just to rebel against his father, but that would be it, it's just rebellion and not something he really enjoys.

i thought of all possibilities and he'd be cooked in all of them. even if he ended up doing another type of music, he can never enjoy it as much as street music, and he can never find friends like vbs or meet the vocaloids, and he'd still carry the guilt of running away.

he can never be completely happy or fully heal without vbs. the toya who can smile like this would never exist. he's so cooked we're all so cooked
