The reason some creators get so pissed at EVERY platform and blame literally everyone but themselves for their lack of success boils down to one thing. Your priorities are wrong, and your expectations are out of whack. Create for the love of it as a hobby while you manage real life, and if one day content can sustain you, then fantastic. Until then, make content you love and are proud of. Stop putting the pressure of "going pro" on yourself in content creation.

Dude You Monetize Stolen Content Imagine building nearly your entire social media cash flow by stealing content from other creators without crediting them, incessantly commenting about the movement and leadership of another nation and then assigning nefarious motives to an actual creator because you dislike their takes. I've never commented about Ian Miles Cheong but it's pretty on the nose to suggest that Candace Owens is just creating content for money when all you do is steal content for money. Naturally, I expect plenty of "But Candace" and "BeN iS a hErO" comments but this is about the insinuation of profit-motive from someone who steals likely 95%+ of his content and adds little to nothing to it. He's stolen my videos before when they went viral, monetized them without crediting me and ignored requests for credit. Cashes his checks and then steals the next person's content. It's only recently I've seen him actually create original commentary, but only after posting over half a million times of mostly other people's work. I understand the business of news aggregation and there is certainly value in that service. But simply stealing creator's content (like mine) and cashing in on it while accusing others of similar practice, is wild.

I can't see in my Dashboard the exact moment (after rejected appeal you can't even see the details anymore) to show which sound earned me a strike so I made a video to present YouTube Creators context - as they asked in a DM, but didn't reply since. Please, look into this YouTube Creators if a human looks and listen to this, it's clear there is nothing sexual going on and it should be reversed. That Strike cripples my channel and makes me terrified to post anything for 3 months, which if I don't post anything for that long, my channel will die anyway. I'm so sorry to see so many people are dealing with this. Please adjust those AI checks, we creators are trying our hardest, and you punish us so severely.

i guess i was a featured creator on this person's stream today where his chat and him both laughed at my existence all while being entirely homophobic and transphobic. Ricci i know your community would never hold you accountable, so i ask you: why? why pull up smaller creators streams (specifically queer content creators) knowing harassment will soon follow? why is that your content? you hold a power over people you do this too. YOU have an opportunity to influence kindness in this world, and instead you allow more harrassment and more negativity. It's shameful. Can you make 29k a month on TikTok by being antisemitic? Apparently so. I'm Christian. I've been to Israel over 10 times. Advocacy has been my work for about four years now. Caleb, after beginning to post his content about Israel, recently traveled to Israel, visited the Western Wall, and seemed surprised he was even let in. Let that sink in: he spreads hate against Jews, enters the only Jewish state, is welcomed peacefully, and leaves untouched - only to return to his platform and continue profiting from the same dangerous rhetoric. This is where we are: antisemitism isn't just rising, it's becoming a business model. These creators use rage-bait, conspiracy theories, and ancient hatred to build platforms and make money. And platforms like TikTok let it happen, because controversy drives engagement, and engagement drives revenue. But just because hate is trending doesn't make it truth. We can't afford to stay silent while antisemitism becomes a brand. And we shouldn't be okay with people exploiting the Jewish people for content, money, or clout, especially when those same people are treated with more decency in Israel than they show to Jews online.

I love this idea from Jason Fried "Your only competition is your costs." Keep costs low, keep the team small, make stuff you want to use. You don't need the whole world: “A business is very simple. You got to make more than you spend. If you're making more than you spend, then your competition is your cost. What I can control is how much it costs me to run my business, how much I sell my product for, and as long as I make more than I spend, I get to stay in business. And isn't that what this is all about, staying in business? That's what it's all about because I like this. I want to keep doing this. I can't keep doing it if I don't stay in business. I can't keep doing it if I make less than it costs me to make the things that I make. I love this idea from Jason Fried "Your only competition is your costs." Keep costs low, keep the team small, make stuff you want to use. You don't need the whole world: “A business is very simple. You got to make more than you spend. If you're making more than you spend, then your competition is your cost. That's what you're really in business against, how much it costs you to stay in business. It's not all the other alternatives that are on the market. You can't control what they're going to put out there, what they're going to price it at, all the things they're going to do. They're going to do what they're going to do. What I can control is how much it costs me to run my business, how much I sell my product for, and as long as I make more than I spend, I get to stay in business. And isn't that what this is all about, staying in business? That's what it's all about because I like this. I want to keep doing this. I can't keep doing it if I don't stay in business. I can't keep doing it if I make less than it costs me to make the things that I make.
