People forget that President Eisenhower didn’t just warn us about how a military-industrial complex would transform American life for the worse; he also warned about a federal scientific bureaucracy perverting science and technology into tools of control.

In the world of modern science, gain-of-function research and genetically modified organisms (GMOs) represent not just controversial scientific endeavors but outright assaults on the natural order of life. These practices, which fundamentally and irreversibly manipulate the genetic fabric of living organisms, have ignited a heated debate, particularly among those rooted in faith. It’s time to confront the harsh truth: this type of research is a dangerous gamble with nature that we cannot afford.

On a slightly related note, the federal government has failed to regulate pharma companies on behalf of patients. The FDA has failed to require warnings for a potentially permanent syndrome known as Post-SSRI Sexual Dysfunction (PSSD) for over 3 decades.

It’s not only the military industrial complex, it’s the medical industrial complex, and the technology, industrial complex, etc.

If people would simply learn from history, 98% of the world’s problems would disappear.

Here's what was cut from the reptilia...I mean Republican Debates last week. Megan asks Vivek about Trump and "Warp Speed." Vivek did a doeseedoe around Trump's responsibility for the vaccine and blamed Reagan. In fairness, Vivek was spot on about crony capitalism. #Kennedy24

Eisenhower was probably one of the most unappreciated, and unrecognized leaders that we have had.

In his farewell address, President Eisenhower didn’t just warn about the military-industrial complex. What many people don’t know is he also warned about a federal scientific bureaucracy. One that could twist science and technology into tools of control. “Akin to and largely responsible for the sweeping changes in our industrial military posture, has been the technological revolution during recent decades.” “In this revolution, research has become central.” “It also becomes more formalized, complex, and costly.” “A steadily increasing share is conducted for, or at the direction of the federal government.” “Today, the solitary inventor tinkering in his shop has been overshadowed by task forces of scientists in laboratories and testing fields.” “In the same fashion, the free university, historically the fountainhead of free ideas and scientific discovery, has experienced a revolution in the conduct of research.” “Partly because of the huge costs involved, a government contract becomes virtually a substitute for intellectual curiosity.” “For every old blackboard, there are now hundreds of new electronic computers the prospect of domination of the nation's scholars by federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present and is gravely to be regarded.” “Yet in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific, technological elite.” “It is the task of statesmanship to mold, to balance, and to integrate these and other forces, new and old, within the principles of our democratic system, ever aiming toward the supreme goals of our free society.”

This is one of the most important videos on 𝕏. Peace for Ukraine is about more than Trump, Putin, or Zelenskyy. RFK Jr: “We are the military-industrial complex.” “Washington ... is like a Kabuki theatre of democracy.” It’s about ending the trauma that the US military-industrial complex has put the world through since 1963. RFK Jr: JFK’s 1,000 days in office were a “constant fistfight with the military-industrial complex to keep the country out of war.” “Three days before [JFK] took office, President Eisenhower gave what I think we should today regard as the most important speech in American history.” “He warned Americans against the domination of this emerging military-industrial complex that would turn us into an imperium abroad and a security state at home.” “[JFK] takes office three days later.” “They tried to get him to go into Laos, he refused.” “They tried to get him to go into Cuba in ‘61 and again in ‘62 during the missile crisis, and he wouldn’t.” “They tried to get him to go into Berlin in ‘62, and he wouldn’t.” “They tried to get him to go into Vietnam … and he said it can’t be our fight.” “In October 1963 … [JFK] signed National Security Order 263 ordering all military personnel out of Vietnam.” “Thirty days after he signed that order, he was murdered. And a week after that, President Johnson remanded the order and then sent 250,000 troops in.” “My father ran against the war in ‘68. He wins the California primary, meaning he’s on his way to the White House, and he’s shot that night.” “Martin Luther King had become a peace activist two months before he was shot.” “These traumas—my uncle’s death, my father, King’s death, the Vietnam War itself, 9/11, and Covid—pushed us a little farther down that road that Eisenhower warned us against.” “Today, we are the military-industrial complex.” “Washington ... is like a Kabuki theatre of democracy.” “Part of unraveling that and going back to our original idealism … means going back and looking at the original trauma and exposing what actually happened to my uncle.” NATO’s expansion into Eastern Europe towards Russia’s borders is marching humanity towards World War 3, a trauma that would be greater than any war humanity has ever known.
