🙈 Ignorance is bliss?

The 60,000 heat deaths in Europe in 2022 didn't change much. People losing their ski destinations won't change much. People don't like to change.

People seem to relate more to rich people experiencing the effects of changing climate and weather. This is one of my top tweets from last year. Experiencing the effects of a Category 5 hurricane from inside a high-rise, sea view jacuzzi:

"It's depressing to consider, but I suspect the demise of skiing in the Alps will prove to be far more consequential to the rich world's awareness of climate"

It’s all fine! Come on! (Nice soundtrack by the way!)

Thank you, Obi.

This is the Winterberg ski area in NRW, Germany. Most of the slopes are already closed, but on a few there is still a layer of snow. But it's not really fun to ski on.

Sad sight.

But don‘t we just need skis that run on snow and grass, and ideally on rocks and gravel as well. We just need to have techno-openess. („Technologieoffenheit“ is so weird that there isn‘t even an English translation) ;-)

I thought the sound covered that.
