We just rescued a dog from the airport area… who was struck by a fast-moving vehicle, maybe a bike or a car. There are no external injuries, but the pain he is going through is unbearable to watch. I strongly condemn the brutal and unjustified lathi charge on our Hindu brothers who were peacefully protesting at the sacred Matha Muthyallamma Temple in Secunderabad. It is deeply disturbing that when our religious sentiments are attacked and idols desecrated, we are not even allowed to raise our voices in a peaceful manner. The real question is: who ordered this lathi charge? Those responsible for desecrating the temple should be facing action, not the devotees who seek justice. Making reels or dancing inside temples and within temple premises should be strictly prohibited, irrespective of who is doing it. Temples are places of worship, not content creation studios. The govt and temple authorities must take stringent action against those who disrespect the sanctity of these sacred spaces. But this is also the responsibility of parents. Basic etiquette and respect for our places of worship must be taught at home. We cannot blame children alone if parents fail to instill these values. If we don’t respect our own temples and deities, who will?

Tens of thousands of innocent people in Gaza and across Palestine are suffering through the horrors of war. Words are not enough. It is time for action. I will be donating iftar meals to 1,000 families so they can break their fast. I hope for peace, protection for the innocent, and an immediate end to all wars and conflicts.
