Discovery is the "overachiever" of the shuttle fleet; it flew 39 missions, spent a total of 365 days in space, and traveled nearly 150 million miles. It’s also the craft that launched the Hubble Space Telescope!

Public illumination: Tonight, we visited Zithobeni, in Bronkhorstspruit, to witness the public illumination of streets in this area for the first time in decades. The city has installed 73 streetlights in Rethabiseng and 28 streetlights in Zithobeni Ext 4. We joined residents, local councillors and the MMC for Utility Services Cllr Frans Boshielo to energise these streetlights. We want our communities to be accessible day and night and this project will ensure that this objective is achieved. Last year, the city conducted similar programmes in Rama City and Hammanskraal. We plan to do more this year in more communities. City of Tshwane

After the 2013 earthquake, a very dangerous military operation was carried out in Awaran, and the entire region was sieged and turned into a military zone. For at least the last ten years, Awaran has been a complete war zone, but despite all this, the state has not been able to enslave the minds and consciousness of the people. The large participation of thousands of people, especially women, in mass demonstration on the call of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee today proved that the Baloch people are now completely fed up with state oppression and barbarism. Now, the decision is in the hands of the people and not the state. Thank You Awaran 🌹 #MarchAganistBalochGenocide #IStandWithBalochMarch

Dalton Eatherly aka ChudtheBuilder was out on multiple bonds from different counties. And the judge clearly states that the bond is set as high as it is because of “how many people were out in the courtyard and at the courthouse and the seriousness of the crimes”. He’s a public nuisance and does it while armed. In my interaction with him, he was armed with a gun. People should not be purposely antagonizing people, especially saying racist statements, while being armed. That’s actually part of the Tennessee Carry Laws.

Coffins floated through the streets of the city of Uba in Brazil The sight was unsettling, but as it turned out, it wasn’t as bad as it seemed. Heavy rains flooded not the cemetery, but a funeral home, and the coffins were swept away by the water flow. Flooding and landslides in the Minas Gerais state resulted in the deaths of 46 people. According to local media, at least 20 people are still missing.

What I saw today in the Oculus at World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan wasn’t just sunlight, it was memory made visible. Two parallel columns of light stretched across the floor, quietly echoing the Twin Towers. It reminded me of the annual moment on September 11th, when sunlight passes perfectly through the skylight here at 10:28 a.m., the time the second tower fell, flooding the space with light in a silent tribute. Today wasn’t that day. And yet, the shadows appeared. A quiet reminder that even when it’s not marked on the calendar, this city remembers. In the design, in the light, in the everyday. Some memories are built right into the walls , and they show up when we least expect them, asking us to pause, look down, and reflect. New York City

It was an honour to stand at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and to witness the Last Post at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. From Europe, we remember with gratitude the sacrifice and courage of the many Australians who stood beside us in the long and fragile pursuit of peace and freedom. “They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning. We will remember them.”
