News coming in from #NorthDinajpur district of #WestBengal. The administration hired people to remove saffron flags from the #Islampur Municipal area. Hired people were removing flags at night. Those flags were put during the Ram Navami. Local Hindus resisted. Sources said that the police and the administration decided to remove the saffron flags ahead of Muharram as watching saffron flags may hurt the sentiments of the Muslims in the Muharram procession.
