People need to pay more attention to these labels

My fruits do not decompose like they used to and even the ants don't want them. Last week I had a banana cut it in half and left the other half on the counter for 2 days. It barely browned and and did not start decomposing it looked like plastic. Same thing with my watermelon. I've been noticing this for at least 4 years now.
