In my opinion this has to be one of the greatest covers ever and it’s definitely my favourite. The original by Simon & Garfunkel is a classic but this version by Disturbed is absolutely amazing. David is an amazing singer and it’s all on display in this song for sure✊🤘

who do these vocals remind you of?

When all you consume is manufactured music, hearing real talent is a shock.

If David Draiman’s vocals impress them this much, I could only imagine how they’d react to hearing music made before the 00s. Karen Carpenter never had auto-tune. The legendary Anne Wilson’s vocals were never digitally altered or run through an app. Steve Perry? That’s what actual, God-given talent sounds like. I weep for these younger generations that are so blown away by things we used to take for granted.

Probably the greatest cover ever. Just unbelievably amazing and the lyrics ring so much more true now than they did for Simon and Garfunkel 60 years ago.

The lyrics are the same in Simon and Garfunkel's and David Draiman's versions but because of how they sing them they seem to mean two entirely different things.
