It tries to prevent you from uploading sessions containing PII/sensitive data with 3 tiers of defenses. Best used on OSS coding sessions, as those are less likely to contain sensitive info. Uses pi agents for PII detection, which can cost you a lot of tokens. Read the README with your human eyes so you don't accidentally pwn yourself or get a huge bill. Sharing an OS tool I have been building for a few weeks: - git for agent traces. With OT, you have a local client that helps you santise, review and securely share traces from your coding sessions, privately or publicly, as a Hugging Face dataset. 0.3 adds experimental session blame which I am very excited about - attributing commit/PR changes back to the traces that produced them (all local) unlocks a new layer in observability and issue tracking. A few short demos of the local TUI client and the upcoming opentraces hub platform. Try it out! keen on your feedback🙏

The #1 problem with coding agents right now: Ask them to solve one problem, and they will make 10 other changes you didn't want. This happens to me every day. It happens to everyone I talk to as well. We have a solution for this now. The team Augment Code released a "Task List" feature for their coding assistant that solves this problem. Augment Code is partnering with me on this post. In case you haven't used them before: • Augment Code is a fully-fledged coding assistant • Their specialty are large projects • Fastest coding indexing I've seen • Has a free forever community edition Now, you can ask their coding agent to generate a Task List before doing anything. This will give you a plan you can review, edit, and augment if you need to. You can export this plan, load it on a different session, or even share it across projects. It makes a huge difference: The task list constrains the agent so you won't get any "unintended" changes anymore. It also puts you in control of everything the agent does. Check the video to see the agent working through a task list. You can also try this 100% free: (By the way, they also have support for remote agents. You can basically have those agents write your code while you are sleeping.)

I've started a nonprofit, GuardRailNow, and I need your help. Our approach is unique: I do not come from tech. I cannot write code. I do not live in SF. I am not an EA. I am not a rationalist. I have never been to Silicon Valley. I'm a dad in Baltimore talking about AI extinction risk to other people like me. AI Safety loves selling Bibles outside churches, preaching to the choir. It's easy to talk to people who are like you. It's much harder to talk with people who are very different than you. So why would AI safety people, who are from/in the SF bubble, who use EA/rationalist speech patterns and thought, think they are in any way the right people to bring the message to everyone else?? They are not. If AI Safety wants to get regular people on their side here's a hint: get out of the way. You are the problem. You do not act or talk or think in ways that connect with everyone else. I'm sorry if that sounds harsh. But our lives are on the line. Get over it and pass the ball to people like me.

The Modernistic Renovation of London Liverpool Street Station 🏙 The time is finally upon us that the Liverpool Street station I've loved for so long is about to see changes that myself and others see as incredibly controversial. A great effort has been made by various people to try and stop this from happening. Though my fears are that the renovations will still go ahead, if people did manage to stop it, I would not feel that I've wasted my time in making this video because it's only by alerting the public that we can help to prevent, or simply raise awareness on such issues. Just imagine all the plans we don't hear about until it's already too late. If you would like others to know about this, or feel the same regret as I do, please share this post in order to make others aware. Thank you all for your support, and for loving the places that mean the world to me. 🤝

Being into local models, I wanted to have a separate harness for my local models so I don't have to constantly switch configs. And I didn't want to go back to the TUI (nerds). But, I didn't want to miss out on all the features that I know and love. Turns out, I didn't have to. I just needed to build it myself. So I did. I wish I could share more with you guys about what’s going on behind the scenes but the reality is that no one is willing to go on the record so I can’t. I do think there are people who would share their story if they knew the backlash wouldn’t be so extreme but unfortunately this is the world we live in. I’m happy to talk to anyone who wants to tell their story. And if it’s not with me I sincerely hope some of you find an another trusted source to tell it to when you’re ready. Stop vilifying people trying to tell truth!
