sorry, we touch grass and use electronics in the sun

Its bright, uplifting, doesn't seer your eyes with piercing white text.

I mean, I guess if you're sitting in a dark room like a weirdo. I'm mostly sitting outside when I get on here

ive never used dark mode ever. do people really see light mode like that. lol.

yep light mode is basically Flashbang.

Bad eyes. Text rows will burn into my eyes when I look away. It doesn't happen in bright mode.

that is an accurate display of what light mode is like to me, lol

As Optician I acknowledge that you need constraste for being able to read comfortably. Dark mode hasn’t got enough contrast for being still comfortable in particular when you’re aging with presbyopia or bad sight.

Cause the place that did my lasik screwed my eyes up and now i cant use dark modes.

We're just getting ready to watch a nuclear flash.

Ya'll gonna give this ginger a sunburn just using that shit

I don’t like change, I’ve been using light mode before there was a dark mode.

Because we're not weak

Because it's nice

The light mode is easier on my eyes for most settings

It's not about light or dark, it's rather about the brightness level. If you keep the brightness at a low level, you'll realize that the light theme is better at day time.

Believe it or not, you will get old.

Readability. My days of looking at bright text on dark screens ended in the 90s.

I used it for an entire year out of spite and can confidently say, it felt good to bathe in the light. When your eyes are only accustomed to the dark, sure, it stings, but as long as you’re not a goblin who hides in the shadows, it doesn’t hurt lol.

In self defense 1: My phone has system where it changes based on the time of day 2: Light mode doesn’t eat my battery during the day

Because if you're reading a text for a long time in dark mode, you might experience the lines temporarily burned into your vision when you look away, lasting for several seconds. Something like this. This doesn't happen to me when I use light mode.

I like the look

Mine alters based on sunset/rise time.

I have astigmatism, so whenever it's dark mode, everything becomes blurry and when I look away, I see floating lines everywhere, even when I close my eyes. But I don't have the brightness on that high.

@xfreeze

Because dark mode is depressing I only use it at night.
