They were actually Bartholomew- Derived from the Aramaic name meaning "son of Talmai". Bar is Aramaic for "son", John - Derived from the Hebrew name Yohanan meaning graced by God Peter- From the Greek word Petros( Greek was widely spoken in those times) A lot more

That was painful to watch Loud ignorance 😂 By the way!! The names were also translated, for example Moses is Musa in Arabic. John is Yahya! Do some research

The dumbest question I’ve ever heard😂 Even Ghanaians have English names… knowing damn well a lot has been lost in translation, this is not so much of a question with wisdom. Forget the Bible and pick ur history books if u disagree so much!

The names of Jesus' disciples have been translated and adapted into various languages, including English. In the original biblical texts, their names were written in Greek, as the New Testament was written in Greek. However, it's believed that their original names were Hebrew or

Not a smart question at all. Have you read the scripts in other languages? The names are based on the language the script is written in. It's common sense. Peter in French is Pierre..Unbelievable!

He shd first ask himself how we call that man he’s talking about “Yesu” in Kumasi & we call James Yakobo, John - Yohane, Mark - Marko, Luke - Luka, Bartimaeus - Batimeo. Common sense shd tell him if the script was translated, the names will definitely not be the original ones.

Sad that he thinks he has asked a smart question.

Them lie we plenty hmm😂

This isn't deep🤣🤣🤣. But he figa he say something 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I think the names were simply translated from the Aramaic or whatever to English. Let’s take our twi for an example….peter is “petro” in twi. John as “yohanni” James as “yakubu” So it’s normal for their original name to be translated to any language. Don be brainwashed guys😌
