Pep categorises managers into three different categories. 1) Managers who are good tactically 2) Managers who are good at man-management 3) Managers who are good with the media. But he says the one characteristic every manager must have is the ability to convince players. And in the end it’s all about giving players the weapons to express themselves as best they can, to be exactly who they are. There’s nothing more than that. And when a manager changes shapes and systems, it’s to give the players the comfort they need to win games.

🚨 FC 27 DEFENDING IS SO GOOD 🔥 ✅ Select your defender ✅ Use Jockey to get closer to the opponent ✅ Tackle when the ball is open ✅ Use 2nd Man Press when you have to defend 2 threats ✅ Cut the passing lanes with your midfielders ❌ Do not spam tackle ❌ Do not spam bruiser ❌ Do not spam 2nd man press ❌ Do not rely on the AI defending AI defending is good as it is. They keep the shape of the team and if you want the ball you just select the player and get it. EA did a great job. DO NOT PATCH IT. Jockey is faster than the left stick. It’s so easy to defend against the fidget spinners. Everyone who cries about this just wants easy defending. They don't want to put the hard work to learn. Don't patch defending & don't patch dribbling and we have a great game. If anything needs a big improvement, it’s the fact that AI runs are only forward. We need players to come short and make lateral runs.

You don’t lose this. Arsenal are suffering from a lack of variety in attack and Odegaard is suffering the most. He’s not a player who can make it happen on his own, but he has the ability to make good players around him great players. He’ll be back.

Q - As a defender, what do you enjoy the most about your role? Maxence Lacroix 🗣️ I love to defend, of course. I think you cannot be a defender. I love to defend. I love this role of leadership. Yeah, I like my place. I like to also enjoy with the fans. Q- For Chelsea supporters who haven’t watched you every week, what’s one thing you hope for them to notice about your game? Maxence Lacroix 🗣️ They have to know that I will give everything for the badge. I will give everything for the club, and this is the most important. Of course, I have some quality, but the thing I can say is, from day one to the last one, I will give all I have to prove and to show that this club is one of the best in the world.

Not every day is going to be a good day. But every day has something good in it. The challenges you face will test you. Focus on the positives, learn from the adversity, and keep moving forward. That's how resilience is built.

“people have lost their minds on who are terrorists, who are actually defending their civilians, who are trying to get their civilians killed, people trying to rewrite borders, call people resistance fighters.” “I think the whole narrative of now we have a ‘two front war,’ ‘Israel is now doing this.’ The headline should be Israel is defending itself in a 7 front war, that there has been 8,000 Hezbollah rockets attacking Israel for a year…80 to 100,000 Israelis homeless…it won’t be another Gaza, the objective are completely different…any other country in this situation these wouldn’t be the questions we would be asking.”

While much of the world is caught up in the FIFA World Cup fever, a small but genuine reason to believe in Indian football is quietly taking shape. Minerva Academy has just won the Helsinki Cup 2026, defeating the defending champions in the final. This wasn’t built overnight. It is the result of years of identifying young talent, trusting the process and refusing to lower standards. What’s even more remarkable is that this story wasn’t written by a government project or a billion-dollar football system. It was built by one man with a vision Ranjit Bajaj. Indian football doesn’t lack talent. It lacks people who are willing to invest in that talent for years without expecting instant results. If India truly wants to compete on the world’s biggest stage one day, we need to back people who consistently produce players, build winning teams and deliver results. Congratulations to Ranjit Bajaj, the coaching staff and every young player who wore the Minerva jersey with pride. Maybe this is where India’s football story begins. 🇮🇳⚽

Interviewer: "We are talking about the old Chelsea, the old competitive energy, and to play football and compete. There were seven wins and seven defeats in the Premier League here last season. How do you go about turning this place back into a fortress?" Xabi Alonso: "We need to build this. The idea, the competitive mentality, how we want to compete, how we want to play, and in every moment of the game, how we compete." Interviewer: "Four years ago Chelsea won a European trophy, then the Club World Cup, then the Premier League. They've also had two seasons finishing 10th. Where is this club now and what would you be content with?" Xabi Alonso: "I think, to be ready, the players need to be ready from the start, to make the right decisions. Football is very demanding." Interviewer: "How do you want your team to play? What can we expect from you?" Xabi Alonso: "We want to play good football. We want to be active, aggressive, and very competitive." Interviewer: "You have so many good players already. Cole Palmer has had the summer off. Have you already started to see the benefits?" Xabi Alonso: "We've already been together in training, and what I've seen is that he's come in with a good spirit. He wants to prepare himself well, he wants to forget the injuries. If we get the best from Cole, we will have a better chance." Interviewer: "There's a big stand here now, and you're just a few days away from your first game of the tour. How excited are you to be on the touchline?" Xabi Alonso: "It's still a few weeks to go. Right now I'm excited about the daily work, being with the players and working with them. That will come, for sure. I'm looking forward to it."

6’10 Freshman Wing Brady Koehler is one of the most intriguing longterm NBA Draft prospects. Koehler had a strong freshman season for Notre Dame where he averaged 6 PPG along with a block and steal a game in only 16 MPG. He also shot 45% from the field and 38% from three. At 6’10 with good movement ability Koehler has the ability to play multiple different positions on the court with his skill versatility. Koehler is a strong shooter who shot 38% from three and uses his size to his advantage to shoot over players. Koehler is also a strong driver and off ball finisher who shot 63% at the rim. Koehler is also an impactful defender who uses his vertical athleticism and size to defend multiple positions. Koehler and Trevon Brazile also the only High Major players in college basketball this season to have a BLK% of 5, a STL% of 2 and shoot 35% from three on 5 attempts a game per 40.

Class of 2026 6’6 Guard Cameron Fowler is one of the most underrated players in his class. Fowler is one of the biggest standouts in North Carolina where he averaged 21/7/3 on 54/41/75 splits and helped his team finish with a 28-3 record. Fowler is a strong all around player who has the ability to do a little bit of everything on the court. He’s a strong scorer on and off the ball who is a high level finisher and shooter. He was one of the most talented finishers in HS last season who shot 68% at the rim on 200 attempts and 41% from three on 5 attempts a game. Fowler has the ability to create his own shot from the perimeter and at the rim, he’s also a great cutter who shot 60% on cuts on 91 attempts. Fowler is also a skilled passer for his height who has the ability to find his teammates, and he’s a versatile defender. Fowler currently is unranked with 0 Divison 1 offers but I expect that to change soon.

🚨 ENZO MARESCA ON MAN CITY BEING FOUND GUILTY OF THE 115 CHARGES: Enzo Maresca: “To be frank, the moment I heard the news, I was surprised. During my time as assistant manager here, we sold players, bought players and won trophies normally. We prepared for every match, competed at the highest level and focused on football. So where are these charges coming from? I was part of the club during that period, and from what I experienced, our focus was always on training, competing and trying to win. We never walked into the dressing room thinking about charges or investigations. We were focused on football. It is difficult to understand how everything we achieved can now be reduced to accusations. Manchester City have built a winning culture through years of hard work, and the players and staff deserve to have their work respected. Of course, we have to respect the process and allow the relevant authorities to make their decisions based on the evidence. But I hope the club gets a fair hearing, has the opportunity to defend itself fully, and ultimately proves its innocence. For now, our focus has to remain on football, on the players and on continuing to compete at the highest level.”

So I have rewatched this Marcus’s interview and I think u should too because I don’t see where the hate is coming from. 100% of #MUFC fans will take Vinicius, Mbappe and Yamal at this football club, you will want the club to spend fortunes on these players but do they defend? NO. They do the primary work of a winger or a striker which is score and assist for the team. Every player cannot be built same way, that Cunha has defensive attributes doesn’t mean the next winger has that in his game too, this issue of defending has brought about having mid wingers everywhere now, if the likes of mbappe and Vini retires I don’t know what will happen to the wingers world. Imagine asking prime Eden hazard to defend instead of terrorizing defenses I hate this fact that we make these stuffs normal now. Yes he should help the team but don’t make it his job to do that and there’s why we have 11 different positions in football, like it or not this is the truth. If Eden Hazard back then in the premier league was asked to defend instead I’m not sure we would have enjoyed all we enjoyed in his time here and so also many players the likes of Salah, mbappe, Vini and all them wingers. If Rashford wants to come back to #MUFC he can be our experienced striker we still get another winger, so he and Sesko shares the responsibility. #MUFC #Rashford
