Water doesn’t stick to a spinning ball. You can say.. “The tennis ball doesn’t create gravity, stupid flerf!” But then you’d have a huge problem because according to you, gravity is created by the mass of an object. So if you scale down your ball world to a tennis ball and the oceans to the small amount of water that’s on it you still have a problem. Fill the tennis ball with the most dense material you can imagine…. The water will still not stick. You live in a fantasy world of beliefs that can’t possibly be proven in real world experiments. Cry and attack me all you want, it doesn’t change reality.

watch this back and it’s easy to miss it first time. Ball breaks, Cork lose it… and straight away you’re thinking Limerick are gone here. Then you see Mark Coleman, out on the edge of it, not even central to the play. Next thing, his hurley is gone. Most lads are out at that point. Hand goes up, look for the free… play moves on. Not him. He stays in it. Hayes comes through with the ball, proper momentum, Limerick building and Coleman, with no hurley, just commits. Full shoulder. Stops him dead or near enough that the ball has to go. That’s the first bit. Ball moves again Lynch into Nash and again, most players are gone. Phase has moved, you’ve done your bit. Not him. Back in. No panic. No diving in. Just gets goal side, stands Nash up and holds him there… and suddenly what looked like a Limerick attack turns into three Cork jerseys around him. It’s not about winning the ball. It’s not even about the big moment. It’s the will to stay in the play when you’ve every reason to be out of it. Lost possession. No hurley. Ball gone past you. The player was in an offsides position when the ball was played by the original shooter so he cannot play the ball on the rebound. That is if there is a deflection. There is an exception: If a defending player deliberately plays or controls the ball (such as attempting a back-pass or a controlled clearance) and it falls to you, the offside is reset, and you can legally play the ball. That obviously doesn’t happen here. It’s a clear deflection and rebound in this play and isn’t the defense gaining control and sending it to the originally offsides player. It’s the right call by VAR. Same reason a penalty or free kick taker can’t hit the ball first if they hit the post.
