“Perception is not always reality, especially when it comes to the Wizards” - Anthony Davis on ABC News “From the outside looking in it can look a little different, maybe not what people expect, but when you get there, it’s actually a great organization and that’s what I realized.”

James Harden on his impact on the Clippers organization: “That’s all I can do. My job is to go out there and be a leader, be helpful, be encouraging to not only players, but staff members. We’re human. Just an opportunity to bond with people… That’s what it’s about. People from the outside looking it, ‘Oh James gets traded and is making jokes…’ in reality we all live a real life and we all got jobs to do. I feel like I did my job in the sense of leaving an impact — maybe it’s one individual, maybe it’s a whole organization. Basketball is one thing. You try to win a championship, it’s only one team that wins a championship. But you still can be a really good person to people. Because you never know who’s having a bad day. You never know what stamp you can leave on somebody’s day or life. It was real love for me.”

“The big 3, none of them can do what I do. This is a different level, a different flex. When it comes to people making big concerts and having most fans, that is different but when it comes to art, I AM THE ARTIST!” - A Pass Thoughts? 💭

When I first realized how different the “impact of smartphones” (good and bad) is for different generations. Here I am relaying what a 20-something (not me) experiences when their phone is not available. You? What is it like for you?

I visited the Gaza border today looking for the reason why reality on the ground is different from the perception in capitals around the world. Maybe you can see it?

ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel on Anthony Davis and the Wizards: “The Wizards are not interested in trading him whatsoever. They want to agree to some type of long term deal with AD… Anthony Davis wants a max extension but it’s not gonna happen… Maybe a 2-3 year extension is on the table.” (via “Clutch Scoops”)

Today is Yoshimi’s birthday! 🎉 We prepared a cake, but… half of it has already disappeared. As expected… it was Yoshimi who took the first bite. Maybe that’s what she means when she says not to underestimate her—especially when it comes to desserts. #BlueArchive

The 16th Hole at TPC Scottsdale. Is there a hole on earth that’s more different in person versus TV? What you see on TV is not what you will see in person. When the stands go down, it becomes a very normal desert hole. And when people pay $500+ based on what they see on TV, it can lead to some misgivings. Have you played TPC Scottsdale? If so let me know what you thought.

I wrote this song back in 2022. It’s what was going on in my life, at the time, and that’s when I always grab the pen, especially if it’s heavy, one way or the other. I really hope you enjoy it…this song is not for sale 💯 I uploaded it incorrectly, earlier, but now it’s right…💯

There are a lot of lies and misconceptions going around about Israel, especially about how it treats Arabs. But that’s not the reality on the ground. This is what life in Israel actually looks like. It’s time to challenge the false narratives and see the truth for yourself. #ArabIsraeli #TruthMatters

Seth Joyner on Eagles QB Jalen Hurts: "I work with an Eagles' insider and we had an in-depth conversation last night on our postgame show and it seems to him that there is some consternation when it comes to Jalen. Not only in the locker room, but in the organization and that's problematic because from the outside looking in, you would never think that."

Tom Campbell: "The planets and the universe only render themselves when people are looking at them. It's like the video game 'No Man's Sky'. We are living in a simulation." Our reality computes on the fly whatever a player sees. Land on a planet and you get animals, shrubs, lakes and land features. Look away and it is no longer computed. Nothing is saved in memory. Only a set of values that can be regenerated if someone looks again. "It only computed what the person saw. As soon as you looked away, it wasn't computed anymore." "There is no tree. There is no forest. If nobody is there and it is not being observed, it is not being rendered." Stars are just little dots of light. They do not have to come from a sun 20 light years away. When the sun comes up or you go to sleep they stop being rendered for you. We are living in a simulation computed by consciousness.

Toughness is the willingness to do what others won’t and the discipline to keep doing it. Not once. Not when it’s convenient. Not only when someone is watching. Every day. That’s what separates the players who want it from the players willing to earn it.
