I once attended Jesse Jackson’s a color coalition as a vendor because we had to use minority owned business for a contract with the government, and that’s exactly what they did. They simply had shell companies that were owned by minorities who did no work at all, but passed off the contracts to companies like the one I worked for and took 10% Scam!!! and at the end of the conference Jesse Jackson’s people walked around and handed us envelopes to donate to the friggin color coalition, it was disgusting

As a marine construction company we have fallen into a situation like this with a minority company out of Florida. They even have the Coast Guard thinking that they can’t accept any bids without going through this particular company. The company is located in a house in a Florida neighborhood.

This action is long overdue. For years I've watched 8A companies contract with the government and accomplishing nothing. Their only value was their minority status. Good on Secretary Hegseth.

Oh my word. I have stories (unfortunately I can’t share here) where those programs caused significant cost overruns of a particular significant program because of the shotty workmanship, items literally falling off the structure and it all was because of these insane programs that we were required to hire outside contractors from a specific pool. These SBA enabled companies should NEVER have had licenses. Ever! We even found these companies were so incompetent they had outsourced some of their own parts from where…..Chyna. Praise the Lord the end is near for this program and I’m betting on our Military utilizing much safer equipment in the future. I’ll just leave that there.
