There's some serious game happening here. As everyone (should) know, horror movies were basically invented in the 50s so skeevy guys could transmute their date's nervous energy from the creepy movie into female horniness. Get a woman freaked out - get the nervous excitement happening - by any cause whatsoever - and you can transmute it to sexual excitation or romantic excitement by rapidly changing the emotional context. It's manipulative as fuck, but it apparently works spectacularly well for guys with no morals who know what they're doing.
