I know that this seems strange, maybe even funny, but Antoinette and Fran are correct. Jillian Segal being appointed as our antisemitism envoy was a very bad choice, she is certainly not the person to be monitoring our media, or our universities.

Perhaps the media need to ask her if she condemns the violence in Gaza. Like they did with every Islamic public figure.

Let me make a prediction, and like any prediction - especially economic ones, it may be wildly inaccurate. Segal will say she has nothing to do with what her husband does and tough it out - and Albanese will support her - because, it seems, he is TERRIFIED of the Israeli 5th.

This is an obvious conflict of interest in a public role. If Segal did not declare it she should be dismissed. If Segal did declare it Albo screwed up appointing her.

Jillian Segal is hopelessly compromised. She has to resign or be sacked, and should never have been given the job of “envoy”.
