Oh honey. Just wait until full blown senior citizen starts. Your mind is in it's early 20's but the body is on "get me outta here" mode. And the litany of aches & pains? Forget about it!

Pain in my left shoulder, pain in my right hip, insomnia, hot flashes, anxiety... So. Much. Fun.

Thanks for doing this. It’s super important that younger women know just how insane this is. I knew I was in it when I would get up in the morning and it felt like none of the bones in my feet were connected. Frozen shoulder and hot flashes. Ugh

ALL OF IT! And it only gets worse…ESP👉🥵 Buckle up! And the “dog” issue? 😱 The amount of times my husband has to mute and ⏩️ at even a 🤏possibility of a dog crying in pain or god forbid…..is INSANE. (And I’m a nurse…ppl? 🤷‍♀️..but dogs? 😭IYKYK)

My phantom smell was weed. Eww. Peri anxiety is insane. Hot flashes and night sweats. I forget words. "Separation anxiety" turned into "alone disorder." Random fears unlocked, such as walking down the stairs to my basement. Miss Peri's gotta go.

Estrogen takes the pain away. Once I was on HRT, the pain went away within 2 weeks!

Men in general make me murderously violent. I feel as if I may be a danger in normal society- especially if I encounter red hats or ICE.

Progesterone cream—any health food store—worth trying. Wide toe box shoes with 0 drop (see will fix many gait/back issues and they’re comfortable and cute. 2-3 tshirts and a bath towel next to your bed to help deal with nights sweats as they come.😃

Number 9. Definitely a symptom. Zero doubts. I do not accept how little we talk about perimenopause. Pretending it’s not a part of women’s health doesn’t do us any good. I’m constantly shaming everyone about it. I wonder if that is a symptom…🙂

Sleep with a pillow between your knees, and a small one in front to hug. Takes all the pressure off.

Craziest acute shoulder pain of my life that PT wasn’t helping. 3 days on low dose progesterone and it was gone! What.The.Actual.Fuck. The anxiety and insomnia so much better too (why I actually got the Rx!) “No need to white knuckle thru perimenopause”=best advice I’ve ever got

Tip #1 - Black Cohash saved Me! Passed down by Native American Indians and can be found at Walmart & is inexpensive. #2 Once you’re through Menopause, it’s great! 🥂

Check out I recently discovered these shoes (wide toe) as I too struggle to find shoes I can wear for more than a few hours and I am now obsessed with this brand and style of shoe.

If pre-menopause is that bad, you will be on fire (literally) when you get into menopause. By the way, sleeping on a heat-soaking pad will help. They make them for dogs. Get the large or super size. And a small one for your head.
