WTF 🤬 School informs parents NOT to send any kind of pork sandwich with their kids for school lunch period. 🤬 Because it offends some of the students and their parents. This👇is just freaking ridiculous. 🥪 Their call to Muslim prayer over a loud speaker at 5am offends me. Their praying in the city streets en masse offends me. The religion offends me. Yet, here we are…catering to their petty demands because the woke inclusive brigade doesn’t want to hurt their freaking feelings. 🖕 that. 💯 👊

Today, Ukraine transferred St. Nicholas Cathedral for full use by the Roman Catholic community. St. Nicholas Cathedral is a cultural heritage site of national significance. During the Soviet period, it was closed by the Moscow authorities as part of Russia’s decades-long religious repression and turned into an organ hall. The cathedral survived the Soviet period, endured a fire during World War II, and withstood the impact of a Russian missile strike nearby in 2024 during Russia’s full-scale invasion. This historic decision became possible thanks to the sustained work of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, Tetiana Berezhna Tetyana Berezhna, Members of Parliament, the religious community, and many others. The parish will now have greater capacity to restore the cathedral, gather in prayer, and sustain the living fabric of the religious community here. Despite every trial imposed by Russian war, repression, and violence, the cathedral has stood firm, remaining a symbol of the spiritual resilience of our capital and of a country that has learned, through hardship, the value of conscience and faith. Among the enemy’s failures is their inability to divide us on the basis of religion. Today, representatives of different denominations stood side by side in the cathedral, united in prayer for our defenders, for victory, and for a just peace for Ukraine. The government will continue to uphold equality for all parishes in Ukraine, ensuring freedom of conscience.

Chinese people who come to Africa to work often express their frustration with Africans who don't want to work on Sundays because they want to attend church services. One Chinese friend told me that Zimbabweans are stuck with ZANUPF because they believe that prayers will change their government. "Too much praying without action," he said. “How do you run a business with people asking to go to church on different days of the week,” he asked. The Chinese values of hard work and efficiency often conflict with the deeply-rooted religious beliefs and practices of many Africans. My Chinese friend's comment reflects a common stereotype of Zimbabweans, that they rely too heavily on prayer and not enough on practical solutions. We even have prayer days to strengthen our currency and economy. 🤣🤣🤣 The Chinese find this approach to be foolish because they believe that real work is necessary for progress. It is understandable that they feel this way, given their rapid transformation from poverty to becoming the world's second-largest economy in a short period of time. Cultural traditions and beliefs shape people's worldviews and behaviors, but perhaps we as Africans have a few things to learn from the Chinese and how they became a success story without too much "Hallelujah" every day!

"You Stick With Your Brother Through Thick And Thin"- Ngizwe Mchunu A prayer service for the embattled Police Minister Senzo Mchunu was held in Greyville Racecourse in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal(KZN) on Saturday. The service was held in support of Mchunu, who has been on special leave since July, last year. His leave emanates from allegations of interference in police activities and collusion with criminal elements. The claims were made by the KZN police Commissioner Leuitenant-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi that resulted in the establishment of a judicial commission to probe them. Mchunu is alleged to have authprized the disbandment of the Political Killings Task Team (PKTT) in December 2024 without followign proper procedures. Supporters and independent faith groups gathered to pray for his "deliverance" and strength during a period of intense scrutiny and political pressure. This followed a similar gathering in Mbombela, Mpumalanga, in February 2026 which was hailed as a success by organizer Sipho Nathi Mafuyela. Another prayer was previously held at Mchunu's home in eMpangeni, KZN. Organizers state the prayers are meant to support Mchunu, who is "embattled" and on special leave, amid claims that the allegations against him are unfounded. Spokesperson Sithembiso Mshengu confirmed that while Mchunu is aware of the services, they are not officially sanctioned by him but are conducted independently. At the center of a probe by the Madlanga Commission and a Parliamentary Ad Hoc Committee is the allegations that he unilaterally disbanded the KwaZulu-Natal Political Killings Task Team (PKTT) in December 2024. The situation led to intense political scrutiny, including calls from opposition parties for his dismissal and accusations of potential criminal implications. The prayers have sparked mixed reactions, with some supporters rallying behind him while others argue that the focus should be on accountability and the truth.
