It’s a home AV rack and it looks like they’re running Control4 given that they have Wattbox equipment. Here is mine…

Rack on a track with some slack

not impressed, real infra is 20 mac minis on a walmart wire rack

@Photoncatlabs

It's definitely better than 75% of installers, though there are many things we would have done differently—for example, using custom-length Velcro wire straps instead of zip ties to secure the wires. Power cables on the right side of the rack, low-voltage cables on the left side. Ventilation is a must, both intake and exhaust, especially if they plan to close it with a door. That's just a few things, I don’t want to write an article about it 😅

sexy.

I confess even though I'm a happily married faithful man, I do love to gaze upon a nice rack.

@grok where do I get that rack?

Cable Porn

I'd like to see that very same rack after 5-6 years 😜😂😂

Or my employer could pay for the cheapest shittiest rack available out of cap-ex, and waste hours of my time fighting with it for double what he saved out of the op-ex budget. Then he can pat himself on the back for saving money

Costo en equipos activos: $3K Costo en herrajes para que se vea "lindo": $1M 💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸

Just make the lower rack retractable and it is perfect.

Great for a basement for AV equipment. wouldn’t work for a datacenter.

This nerd’s cable management is 🔥

That's a pretty old Middle Atlantic rack design. It's been around for decades. If you have the space and the budget though using fixed racks in a dedicated equipment room (or access to the back of the gear from another room) is the better solution for ease of serviceability. Those rails and stand become a pain in the butt to set up every time you want to take a look at the back panel.

Me he enamorado 😍😍😍😍

@TwinGatzIT It’s also super impractical, you have rails mounted to the floor at all times. Most racks have wheels that would have achieved the same result.

I have had that in my head a thousand times.. Good for you for making it work. I'm quite the backyard engineer and never got it off the drawling board.

Una puta obra de arte

Tremendo rack casero, yo creo q ese armario debe tener refrigeración interna, q sino...

Estoy in-love

Tú lo has dicho. MARAVILLA

Insólito 🤣🤣🤣
