Computer runs on the same secure infrastructure as the rest of Perplexity. The enterprise-grade security layer includes SAML SSO, audit logs, and granular admin controls. Read more:

Why are you building all the features for Perplexity Computer? Why are Perplexity Pro users being deprived of these features?

Microsoft has Copilot built into every Office app. Perplexity shipped Computer directly into those same apps.

I tried it and it couldn’t make direct edits to open doc. Failure!! Pls test these features before rolling them out. @perplexity_ai

"Powered by" seems a bit too much, integrated with much better.

Can the side panel access open document content?

AI replacing apps was the old thesis AI operating the apps for you is the real disruption.

cross-app orchestration is the part worth testing. copilot stays mostly per-app. if perplexity computer can draft in word, pull data from excel, and handle the outlook email as one continuous task, that's a genuinely different product from what's been possible. model-routing is infrastructure detail, app-bridging is the actual bet

What’s a computer?

This is gonna be useful it seems, last time (earlier 2025) I used perplexity though to help my friend with some aptitude questions it made him score only 4/10 no cap, i didn't use after that. need to check how these integrations turn out.

좋아 아주좋아

really just embedded into the four apps that run most of the world's office work. not a new app to learn. not a browser tab to switch to. right there in the side panel of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. the distribution play is the whole strategy - meet the user where the work already happens instead of asking them to change their workflow. 74,000 weekly tasks at PayPal was just the beginning.

The real test is not whether the side panel can draft a doc. It is whether every action leaves a receipt intent source trail diff preview policy check and undo path. Workspace agents need change control not just better chat UX.

@perplexity_ai wow, this is gonna make handling email a lot less painful. can't wait to try it out in Outlook!

Its about time lol

I don't know, but Microsoft products look more complex. Google products are really easy to use.

thinking of using it for research under the hood of the 24/7 ai news radio, run by ai. Btw, got this news from there haha

oof, the data-access review on this inside a regulated tenant is gonna be brutal

@PPLXfinance Wow fantastic ⭐️

There's a short warranty period of only a few days, after which the website disclaims all responsibility if the subscription fails. That's the whole trick: once the deadline passes, sellers cancel the account and resell it, with no action from the website.

perplexity just casually dropped the ultimate productivity cheat code for office.

the whole studio in one canvas sounds clean but tool switching was never the real bottleneck for me ngl

Office is where agent UX gets judged for real. Not demos, not chat. Messy docs, bad spreadsheets, weird email threads, and users who will blame the product if one cell is wrong.

This is where assistants become workflow infrastructure instead of side tabs. The killer feature is not drafting a document; it is carrying context across docs, email, slides, and decisions without losing the audit trail.

This could be a game-changer for productivity. Have you tried it yet?

You have removed the image generation capabilities from Pro Plan #Perplexity @AravSrinivas

Need a tutorial on writing prompts

@perplexity_ai Amazing to watch AI companies race toward AGI, enterprise integrations, and the future of work while basic customer ownership remains completely broken. After personally spending months trapped between Perplexity and Student. com over a confirmed support issue with no resolution, the contrast feels even stronger. The technology looks impressive. The marketing looks impressive. The hype is impressive. But when responsibility starts getting shifted between systems instead of problems being solved, that says more about a company than any product demo ever will.

Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook all at once... they really just moved into Microsoft's house
