@playground_ai I have tried to generate a picture of a medieval castle with both DALL-E 3 and Playground 2.5 and the same prompt. Both should be a photograph, the DALL-E 3 one looks more like a painting anyway, but cleaner, the Playground one looks a bit washed out at the edges.

People found it difficult to quickly get to a site they wanted when using Perplexity as default. This has now been addressed to a reasonable extent. Essentially, for navigational prompts, the answer is a single destination link. More to come to make life easy on default mode.

Performance updates: - Gains on reasoning & creativity benchmarks - Small drop on SimpleQA (91.1 -> 90.7), still competitive with Perplexity Pro The updated version is live on Jan Hub. You can run the model in Jan, llama.cpp, or vLLM. Use the model: - Model: - GGUF: Shoutout to the Qwen team for Qwen3-4B Thinking and Georgi Gerganov for llama.cpp.
