Perseid meteor shower on 13 August!

Watched it last night to, nothing more fascinating than starring at the skies

Can you supply the source for this video? They deserve a lot of credit.

Have gone out 4 nights in a row to watch the meteor showers. Cloud cover every night. Did get a small break last night and counted 10 within an hour. Still hopeful we will get a clear night soon. The skies are so fascinating.

.

The Perseids never disappoint. Those bright streaks against a clear sky are always worth staying up for.

I remembered an event from my childhood. I was lying down one night looking at the sky. The event, which dates back to 1995, was most likely the famous Leonid meteor shower, specifically on the night of November 17-18, 1995. The Leonids are known to be among the fastest meteors in astrophysics, and they often leave behind bright trails that last for a few seconds in the sky, which explains the sheer number and speed with which I saw them. It was terrifying; I couldn't sleep because of the sheer number of meteors until dawn.

hey, y'a 2 jours j'ai lancé un site web qui permet de dénicher le meilleur spot pour observer ce beau spectacle :

Perseid meteor very nice view !

Cant wait, though light pollution ruins it for most city dwellers. Rural areas only get the real show.

@elcapitxxn

If we live on a globe why don't they go up on the horizontal horizon? Always falling down or going across but never up!

@tdohrmann i wish was raining here
