Then the agent built real software just from spoken instructions. Hinton’s point: Once AI can rewrite its own code, it’s no longer bound by what humans put in. It evolves itself. We don’t get that upgrade. From casual drink-order demo → self-modifying superintelligence potential in one conversation. That shift from “amazing” to “terrifying” happened in seconds. Introducing Clips - 100% free, open source, agent-native alternative to Loom Unlike Loom, agent's can fully understand Clips just from a URL. Every Clip comes with APIs and metadata for agents to explore their contents. Agents can "see and hear" anything in a Clip - not just transcripts, but everything visually in the video at any timestamp. Easily share bug reports, feedback, analyses, or anything else in a way that you can easily pass to agents to use to improve products, reports, or more. Also unlike Loom, you own the software, so no one can jack up prices on you suddenly like Loom did to us. Clips is made to be customized. The built-in agent can customize its own code, so you can personalize the app to your needs and workflows. This, in my opinion, is the future of software. Open-source, forkable, customizable with agents, to make your own personal version of anything. You can also import Looms just from a URL and upload videos as well. built my own version of after effects native to agents. - the agent produces motion in fully editable layers and it can improve the tool itself by adding new features or controls on the fly. - each project becomes its own version of the tool, with custom extensions, layers, or effects that the agent implements. - native macOS app, so it can handle high resolutions and complex workflows with dozens of layers/effects. planning to open-source, dm if you want to give it a try!

But these days, these guys own their own studios. You can have your studio and your laptop, or you can take your time and work on your music and make sure that it comes out the way you want it to come out. - Alex O (Singer, songwriter)
