Learned something about Bees Today. A male bee mates for less than 5 seconds in midair. The ejaculation is so explosive you can hear it pop from a few feet away. His body rips in half. He falls dead before hitting the ground. And he is one of the lucky males in the hive. When a male bee, called a drone, chases down a queen mid-flight at speeds of 22 miles per hour, his entire reproductive organ turns inside out. The pressure required for this comes from nearly all the blood in his body, which rushes downward to force the organ outward like a spring. The semen fires into the queen with so much force it makes the audible pop. The organ then snaps off and stays lodged inside her like a cork. As he flips backward off her body, his abdomen rips open. The next drone waiting his turn has to physically yank out the dead male's cork before he can mate. The same thing then happens to him. The queen does this 12 to 20 times in a single afternoon. She flies up to a spot in the sky that beekeepers call a drone congregation area. Picture an invisible meeting point about 50 to 130 feet above the ground where up to 11,000 male bees from as many as 240 different hives are hovering, waiting for her. These spots stay in the exact same locations year after year, sometimes for over a decade. No one fully understands how brand new drones, born only weeks earlier, find them. By the end of her mating run, the queen has collected around 100 million sperm cells. She keeps only 5 to 6 million in a tiny internal storage organ that keeps them alive for years. From that supply, she uses just two sperm cells per egg for the rest of her life, laying up to 2,000 eggs a day for 2 to 7 years. After that one afternoon in the sky, she will never mate again. A 2019 study from UC Riverside, the University of Copenhagen, and the University of Western Australia found that bee semen contains toxic proteins that temporarily blind the queen by interfering with how vision genes function in her brain. If she can't see well, she can't fly out again to mate with more males. Their semen also carries a separate protein that attacks and kills sperm cells from rival drones still inside her. The males keep competing long after every one of them is dead. The 99.9% of drones who never get to mate have it worse. As autumn arrives, the female worker bees in the hive stop feeding their brothers, then drag them out of the entrance after biting off their wings. The drones can't fly back in. They starve or freeze in the grass within days. The colony raises a fresh batch of disposable males the next spring, and the whole cycle starts over.

🔊 Church: In the midst of the wind, the rain, the raging storm, keep your eyes on Jesus! Hear Him calling your name, step out of the boat, and allow Him to test your faith! It's okay to stumble and fall in the water — He has you! When the night gets rough, keep praising HIM! Just like Peter, some of us walk on water right before falling into it - BUT JESUS! He takes us, draws us out of many waters, delivers us from our strong enemies, and from those who hate us! When Peter saw Jesus walking on water toward the boat, his faith was unwavering. He called out, "Lord, if it's you, command me to come to you on the water." Jesus responded, "Come," and Peter immediately got out of the boat and began walking toward Jesus. However, as soon as he noticed the strong wind, fear overcame him, and he started to sink, crying out, "Lord, save me!" Jesus immediately reached out His hand and rescued him, saying, "You of little faith, why did you doubt?" 🔊 We are in the middle of the storm! The only way to survive the raging winds and waves is to keep our eyes set on Jesus and fill our minds with His Word— otherwise, the enemy will fill them with fear, anxiety, and doubt! TODAY LET YOUR MIND BE FILLED WITH THESE THOUGHTS: He will come to save us from this sinful world, and when He does: 👉🏼 We will get to experience His presence forever 👉🏼 We will worship Him forever! 👉🏼 We will have our perfect and supernatural bodies. 👉🏼 We will never grow old. 👉🏼 We will not get sick ever again. 👉🏼 We will never suffer again. 👉🏼 We will have perfect minds. 👉🏼 We will experience perfect pleasure. 👉🏼 We will have a new name and a perfect identity. 👉🏼 We will never die. 👉🏼 We will rule and reign with Jesus forever!!! EYES ON JESUS, EYES ON ETERNITY, AND LET'S WALK ON WATER!! ︵‿︵‿︵‿︵︵‿︵‿︵‿︵︵‿︵‿︵‿ ⚠️ IF YOU ARE NOT IN CHRIST! PLEASE, GET SAVED RIGHT NOW! JESUS IS COMING! 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼 Believe Jesus is the Son of God, who shed His blood for you, died on the cross for our sins, He was buried and resurrected during the third day, according to the Scriptures, so we can have eternal life with Him. The moment you believe in Him and that He died for your sins - you're saved, justified, sealed until the day of redemption, and rapture ready! The Holy Spirit will come to live inside of you - He will help you, guide you, change you, and be with you FOREVER! 📖"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."(John 3:16-18) ︵‿︵‿︵‿︵︵‿︵‿︵‿︵︵‿︵‿︵‿

Scott Jennings has built a reputation for speaking truth to power on CNN, but what stood out to me in this conversation was his honesty, his perspective, and his heart. We filmed this episode over a month ago in Washington DC, and it was the perfect backdrop for a raw and real discussion about politics, faith, and family. We talked about what it takes to sit in the lion’s den night after night, debating politics in front of a national audience, and why authenticity matters more now than ever. Scott opened up about his career path from Kentucky to the Bush White House, to campaign war rooms, and now to CNN, where his voice has become one of the most recognizable conservative perspectives in America. He shared stories about Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell, and the lessons he has learned from decades inside politics and media. We also talked about faith, family, and why staying grounded matters when the world is coming at you full speed. Scott Jennings is sharp, candid, and passionate about America’s future, but what I walked away with was a reminder of his integrity and his courage to stand firm in the face of constant pressure. A gardener designed the largest building on Earth. He got the idea from a lily pad. 1851. Joseph Paxton, head gardener at Chatsworth House, designed the Crystal Palace. 1,848 feet long. 293,000 glass panes. Built in eight months. The largest enclosed space on Earth. He wasn't an architect. He was a gardener who studied the ribs of a giant lily pad and realised nature had already solved the engineering problem. He stood his seven-year-old daughter on a lily leaf to prove its strength. The Great Exhibition opened inside his glass palace. 100,000 objects from 25 countries. The first World's Fair. Six million people came. But when it opened, only the rich could get in. Five shillings... A full day's wage. Working people could see the glass palace from the street. They couldn't walk through the door. Then they dropped the price to one shilling. Special trains ran from every factory town in England. Four and a half million working people walked through the doors. Seventy-five percent of every visitor. The profits built the Victoria and Albert Museum. The Science Museum. The Natural History Museum. The Royal Albert Hall. Imperial College. Everything on that road in South Kensington exists because a gardener had an idea and working people walked through the door. They opened the door. Help us keep it open. Every video we make is funded by people like you. No sponsors. No ads. Just people who believe our history is worth saving. AJ Styles vs Gunther was an amazing wrestling bout between two in ring veterans who tried everything in their power to outsmart each other. Styles started the match by kicking Gunther's leg to set up for Calf Crusher. He had two reasons for that. First, to get revenge for what his opponent did to John Cena. Second, more important - it's impossible for him to hit Styles Clash on Gunther so he needed a different way to beat him. First few minutes were a masterclass from The Phenomenal One but with Gunther it's always the same story - one chop can change everything. And that's exactly what happened, Styles was sent to the floor by a brutal strike. The Ring General took the control of the match and was beating up AJ. But Styles was keep trying to get back into the fight. He was able to hit his classic strike combo but Gunther didn't go down and answered with Lariat. AJ's only chance in this match was to target already injured left leg of his rival. And that's what he did, Styles found the opening, hit Low Dropkick and followed it with series of Dragon Screws. After that he made a mistake by attempting to lift Gunther on his shoulders but quickly fixed it and connected with Pele Kick. And now Styles locked in Calf Crusher for the first time. Gunther got to the ropes but damage was done. The Austrian started looking for Sleeper Hold to end it quickly but AJ was perfectly prepared for it and reversed it multiple times. The Phenomenal One was truly fantastic in this match. The moment where he had a chance to hit 450 Splash but instead went for 360 Leg Drop on Gunther's injured limb was absolutely brilliant. But The Ring General was ready to capitalize on every, even tiny mistake. Just like Styles going for Pele Kick for the second time. Gunther avoided it, hit Lariat and Powerbomb combo but pain in his leg didn't allow him to get a proper cover and AJ was able to kick out. Styles was truly relentless and started putting his opponent in Calf Crusher over and over again. Reverse after reverse, submission after submission. Gunther couldn't escape it. Felt like a tap out is inevitable. But it's The Ring General. You can wrestle a perfect match but Gunther always gonna come up with something to outsmart you. He was in desperate mode so he decided to tap out on AJ's leg, in that way referee couldn't see it. Styles thought that he won, started arguing and that distraction allowed Gunther to hit Low Blow & Powerbomb for the win. Absolute masterclass in storytelling and a tremendous performances from both wrestlers. I loved every second of it.

Lee Know showed on MAMA why he is considered a class of his own. Why he got the honor and responsibility of being the group's Dance Leader, why he goes viral on every presentation, and why so many people, even outside the fandom, have him as a reference of what being a perfect dancer is. Loved and considered one of the great dancers by people inside and outside the fandom. It is saddening to see your company being threatened by your talents instead of celebrating them, trying to hide them every time, even with a choreography meant for you to carry the performance, they keep on sending every year a recording guide meant to erase you from the camera, giving you 26 SECONDS OF SOLO TIME, IN A 13 MINUTES PRESENTATION, the lowest of every member, but you proved that there is nothing stopping your relevance and power. Not even having your company against you, and not even a sprain leg mid performance. You showed that YOUR ABILITIES OVERCOMES EVERY ADVERSITY. You became the only solo 4th generation idol to trend in South Korea during MAMAS, you received and keep on receiving praises across all social media. You showed that you aren't to be compared to anyone, you are on a league of your own. You outdid yourself, like you do every year. Thank you for enduring all these years, let's hope we can leave the endurece behind soon and start with a new chapter of pure enjoyment. We will always be here for you, LEE KNOW 🤍, please take care of yourself and rest.

In 1707, two thousand sailors DROWNED. Not because of a storm. Because nobody could tell where they were at sea 🇬🇧 This was the longitude problem. The deadliest puzzle in science. Parliament offered £20,000 to anyone who could solve it. Nearly four million today. Every great scientist in Europe tried. Newton. Halley. The finest minds alive. All of them failed. The man who solved it was a carpenter from Yorkshire. His name was John Harrison. No formal education. No university. No wealthy patron. He taught himself clockmaking. Built timepieces out of wood. His idea was “simple”. If you know the exact time at home and the exact time at sea, you can calculate exactly where you are. The problem? No clock could keep accurate time on a moving ship. Heat warps metal. Cold contracts it. The ocean never stops moving. Harrison spent DECADES on it. H1. Twenty years of work. Not good enough. H2. Better. Still not enough. H3. Seventeen years. Over 700 parts. Still not enough. Then he did something nobody expected. He stopped building clocks. He built a watch. H4. Thirteen centimetres across. The most important watch ever made. They sent it across the Atlantic. Eighty-one days at sea. When they arrived, it had lost five seconds. Five seconds. In eighty-one days. The problem was solved. But here's the uncomfortable part. They didn't give him the prize. The Board of Longitude was run by astronomers. The very men who'd been trying to solve it their own way. The Astronomer Royal was both judge and competitor. They changed the rules. Demanded his designs. Refused to pay. A working-class carpenter had beaten every astronomer in Europe. And the establishment couldn't accept it. Harrison was nearly EIGHTY before he got justice. He went directly to King George III. The king tested the watch himself and told Harrison to petition Parliament with the king's full backing. Parliament paid. Harrison died three years later. After his death, every ship on earth carried a chronometer based on his design. Every GPS satellite. Every ship's navigation. Every flight path. All of it traces back to a carpenter from Yorkshire who taught himself to build a watch. His watches are still at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich. Still ticking. Still perfect. The establishment tried to bury him once. We're not letting it happen again 👇 Be part of us. Be proud of us. 🇬🇧

Historic Press Meet – 1995 September 27, 1995, became a day Tamil Nadu would never forget. Rajinikanth, without formally entering politics, shook the state with words that made history. By morning, Poes Garden resembled a fortress. Fan club members crowded one side, plainclothes intelligence officers the other, and reporters jostled for position. Only the press was allowed near his residence; assistants screened everyone at the street corner. At 11 a.m., Rajinikanth appeared on the doorstep, dressed in a crisp white kurta. “Let’s give it an hour until everyone arrives, then I’ll meet you all,” he said with a smile before retreating inside. Within the hour, over a hundred journalists, photographers, and satellite TV crews had gathered. They were offered cold drinks, seated in the portico, and treated with warmth before being invited inside. The central hall showcased a Krishna-Radha statue, surrounded by decorative dolls. In an adjacent room, Rajinikanth welcomed the press, cigarette in hand, striking his signature pose in black attire. “No questions for now. I’ve prepared a statement addressing all your queries. My P.A. will read it,” he said. Sathyanarayanan, his P.A., began reading “Four Requests”, a statement addressed to AIADMK workers, his fan club, the public, and the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister. As the P.A. read, Rajinikanth shifted expressions and posed for cameras. When the Chief Minister was mentioned, he placed a hand on his face, visibly concerned. At one point, the P.A. read, “To the people of Tamil Nadu who give me life…” Rajinikanth interjected, “No, it should be, ‘To the people of Tamil Nadu, who are the gods who give me life…’” His words underscored the devotion he felt for his fans. The statement clarified, “I have no grievances against AIADMK workers or supporters, only dissatisfaction with its leadership,” signaling support for the members, not Jayalalitha. Another line, “Jayalalitha has used the Chief Minister’s position for her selfish interests and extravagant displays. If she is allowed to remain in power, even God cannot save Tamil Nadu’s people,” sparked whispers: a political blow delivered with unprecedented clarity. On politics, he noted, “If I enter politics now, it will create confusion. Only time will decide. I’m thinking about how to serve Tamil Nadu’s people without entering politics.” Reporters speculated he was waiting for the release of Muthu that Deepavali, with an auspicious alignment marking the perfect moment. He advised party workers, “Continue your work within your parties,” hinting at a future political role. Addressing the Chief Minister, he warned, “Don’t surround yourself with sycophants; keep good advisors instead,” a subtle critique of ministers who had criticized him. By the end, he had smoked six cigarettes. The statement concluded, “Our path is the path of non-violence, the path of Gandhi.” Sitting in silence, eyes closed, he seemed lost in thought before rising and saying, “Jai Hind.” Photographers requested different poses, which he graciously obliged, even posing against the compound wall. “Is that enough?” he asked with a grin, then disappeared upstairs. Outside, journalists scrambled to file their stories. RMV of Sathya Movies received the full statement, responding simply: “That’s his opinion.” Meanwhile, reporters loyal to the ruling party framed their headline differently: “He won’t enter politics—for now.” That day, Rajinikanth proved that even without stepping into politics, his words alone could change the state’s narrative.📈🔥 #SuperstarRajinikanth | #50YearsOfRAJINISM

This is one of the greatest displays of the creative process I've seen. It perfectly demonstrates something known as the "Creativity Faucet." When you go to the studio, John Mayer was asked, what do you do to generate ideas? “Well, I don’t always do it,” he admitted, “because it requires a stupid bravery all the time.” He strums a couple chords without singing. A nice melody begins to form—“you can sit here all day [doing this] and go, ‘Okay, maybe that’s something.'” “But if you don’t go,” and then he improvises vocals, “Sunlights beating on the corner of the walls / and I’m a Mr. know-it-all / heaven calls / get yourself right / get yourself right,” he stops playing, raises his finger to his mouth, and explains, “if you’re not ouija boarding immediately, you’re wasting time.” “You just stare at the corner of the wall,” he says, before he improvises some more, “Stare at the corner of the wall / try to get it going on / but I can’t sometimes / you just keep going 'til you get something / maybe I’m a little bit shy / maybe someday I’ll tell you why,” he stops singing, “you gotta keep forcing it, forcing it, forcing it.” “It doesn’t matter [what comes out of your mouth]...You gotta get fearless, fearless, fearless, fearless…It’s hard to do.” Takeaway 1: In the clip, we see John Mayer's ability to generate vocals steadily increase. It's a perfect display of what Julian Shapiro—who (among other things) is incredible at deconstructing how things like creativity work—calls the “Creativity Faucet.” Essentially, creativity works like “a backed-up pipe of water,” Shapiro writes. “The first mile is packed with wastewater. This wastewater must be emptied before the clear water arrives.” At the beginning of a creative session, almost always, bad ideas come out of the faucet first. The John Mayers of the world have the discipline and “a stupid bravery,” as Mayer said, to get through the backed-up pipe of bad ideas, to empty the wastewater, to “just keep going 'til you get something,” as he sang. Takeaway 2: To let out bad ideas, to empty the waste water, Mayer said, you have to “get fearless, fearless, fearless.” In another interview, Mayer was asked how he defines writer’s block. “Writer’s block,” he said, “is when the two people inside of you—the writer and the reader—when the reader doesn’t love the writer. Writer’s block is not a failure to write. It is a failure to catch the feedback loop of enjoying what you’re seeing and wanting to contribute more to it.” A creative block is not a failure to create. It is a failure to accept that you must empty a lot of bad ideas before good ideas can flow. It is a failure to get fearless, fearless, fearless, fearless. - - - “You gotta keep forcing it, forcing it, forcing it...You gotta get fearless, fearless, fearless, fearless.” — John Mayer Follow Billy Oppenheimer for more content like this!

🚨Dean Radin Says Classified Remote Viewing Created a Strange Problem Radin describes the strange psychological split of working inside classified programs studying psychic phenomena. Inside the building, they were taking remote viewing, telepathy and psychic research seriously, but outside of the building, the official posture was that the whole subject was nonsense. He says you couldn't even say, "I can’t talk about it," because that would admit there was something to talk about. Radin says classification exists to keep secrets, yet the whole purpose of remote viewing and telepathy research was to study whether secrets can actually be kept from the right kind of mind. In his own words, with talented people, nothing is fully shielded, nothing is fully outside reach. Perhaps that's why the subject still carries such a heavy stigma. If remote viewing, telepathy or non local consciousness are real, even partially, then secrecy itself becomes unstable. Radin says he later discussed the genetics of highly talented psychic people with Garry Nolan. That led to a project looking for what he calls "psi genes," based on the old folklore that psychic ability sometimes runs in families. According to Radin, the early results didn't suggest the psychics had some strange mutation. Instead, the control group appeared to have a mutation in an intron sequence, the part of DNA now understood to be involved in turning genes on and off. His interpretation is that the controls may have had something switched off, rather than the psychics having something added. That's a huge claim by any standards, but the most provocative part is his speculation is about history. Radin says the team noticed this mutation appeared more often in populations with longer historical exposure to Christianity. He connects that to the Inquisition, suggesting that societies may have systematically removed people with psychic sensitivity for centuries, effectively pruning that trait out of parts of the population. That's a fkn extraordinary idea, to think that people with abilities have been wiped out! Obviously it needs serious evidence before anyone treats it as settled science, but as a theory it's definitely fascinating. What if psychic ability isn't something rare and supernatural, but something natural that became culturally suppressed, stigmatized and possibly even reduced over time? What if modern society didn't forget these abilities, but helped erase the people who carried them? That would explain why the subject still feels so Taboo, because if there is something there, it threatens the entire architecture of secrecy, control and materialist certainty. All of that said, could some of us still have that ability? This wallet turned $5 into $3.7M by betting on things that will never happen. No algorithms. No insider info. Just garbage collection. Last week I gave Claude Code a simple task: find me a wallet whose profit is mathematically impossible for a human. The script ran for 12 minutes. Returned one address. I opened the profile expecting an HFT monster. Direct API to Binance. Microsecond execution. The kind of bot you cannot compete with. Instead I found a janitor sweeping up coins everyone else ignores. His profile: I spent the night scrolling through his trade history. First ten trades I checked: Will aliens land on Earth by 2025? > NO at $0.97 Will the Pope resign this month? > NO at $0.94 Will Bitcoin hit $500K this week? > NO at $0.99 Will WW3 start before Friday? > NO at $0.98 All NO. All boring. All profitable. And then it hit me. He does not predict the future. He bets against miracles. You know that feeling when you realize you have been playing the wrong game entirely? I have spent two years looking for the perfect trade. This guy made $3.7M betting that crazy things will not happen. I felt like an idiot. But at least now I see the game. Here is his actual strategy broken down: A market opens: Will a UFO land on Times Square tomorrow? A crowd of gamblers buys YES for 2 cents. Just for fun. What if, right? Swisstony walks in. Buys NO for 98 cents. Tomorrow comes. No UFO. He takes his dollar. Profit: 2 cents per dollar. Risk: almost zero. Almost. There is always a black swan. But in 15,000 trades, he has not met one yet. Sounds boring? 2% profit? Now multiply that by 15,000 trades per month. January alone: - 47 impossible event markets: +$8,400 - 23 celebrity death hoax markets: +$3,100 - 31 apocalypse prediction markets: +$4,700 While you and I are spinning the roulette wheel looking for x10, he IS the casino. The house always wins. Not because it is smarter. Because it bets on the boring. Instead of hunting for a gold bar, he collects bottle caps. Millions of them. And it turns out bottle caps are worth more than gold. The second part of his strategy is even simpler. Logical holes. If event A already happened, then event B is now impossible. The news is out. But the market is still digesting. The crowd reads slowly. He does not wait. He enters and takes money from people who have not refreshed their feed yet. I checked his stats this morning. 23,000 people now watch this wallet. But here is the irony. Most of them try to copy his entries. They miss the point entirely. You cannot copy a trade that closes in 6 hours at 99 cents. By the time you see it, it is done. What you CAN copy is his logic: find markets where the boring outcome pays. Right now there are 47 open markets about things that will never happen. Celebrity pregnancies. Alien invasions. Political impossibilities. By tomorrow, half of them will close. Swisstony is probably already inside. Two years I have been looking for edge. Reading analysis. Building models. Trying to be smarter than the market. This guy made $3.7M betting that the world will stay boring. Right now somewhere someone is betting $50 that aliens will land tomorrow. Swisstony is about to take that $50. Will you keep betting on miracles? Or start collecting from believers?

A teeny tiny notice before I proceed with my analysis. If you have a problem with either Cihan or Alya, don't bother reading. Because I don't take sides. I don't watch or think or write through the lens of Alya vs Cihan. Both characters are dear to me. And, if that's the way you roll, by all means, proceed. Analyzing Episode 36. Season 2 aka Of Strengths, Weaknesses, and The Last Nail in the Coffin Evvveeettt. Another episode, another meltdown. Just another day in the CihAl fandom. Ngl, it took me two days to even think about writing my regular analysis post, because the negativity was more potent than usual. Or maybe my resistance is waning, who knows? But that's not what we're gonna focus on today. This day, we analyze the words and actions of the heart and soul of Uzak Sehir, aka Alya and Cihan Albora. But we'll do so within the framework of strengths and weaknesses, because to me, that's what really comes to the fore in ep36. Alya Albora Alya Albora was especially heartbreaking this episode. And coming from someone who gets their heartbroken regularly because of Alya, that's saying something. The episode starts with the zombie-man opening his eyes (I think this PoS is just lying there pretending to be a vegetable, but that's for another time). And the look Alya has on her face when she looks at Cihan is indescribable. Almost as if everything inside her is pleading, 'Please don't regress back to where we just came from.' Because she fears, even as she tries to check on the zombie, that the closer Frankenboran gets to waking up, the further Cihan will drift from her. And, to an extent, her fears are proven right when Sadakat brings up divorce again. See, Alya doesn't come from strong family roots. She believes her biological mother abandoned her for most of her adult life. Then she has Caroline, who tries to fill all the empty spaces abandonment leaves in little Alya, but doesn't manage to succeed too much. As I've said before, Alya's primary fears stem from being abandoned and being a burden. That's what she tries to protect herself from. Those walls around her heart are in place to keep her from suffering that same pain again. That's both her strength and her weakness. While the fear pushes Alya to love harder, to push past difficulties, to rise from the ashes over and over, it also makes her more aloof. She doesn't find it as difficult as Cihan to leave behind 'family' ties because she's never experienced just how forceful those bonds can be. When it falls to her to choose between her love for Cihan and whatever she had with Boran, she picks the former without much guilt. But there's another factor that helps keep her from feeling much remorse for Boran, and that's the way her former husband treats her. Before Alya finds out about the will, her anger at Cihan is at an all-time high, and there's no question of any relationship developing between the two. After the will, however, that's a different story. So, when it falls to her to choose, she can do so easily, with her conscience at rest. And we see that so clearly in the way she announces she won't return to Boran even when he wakes up. Now, let's focus on the tricky bit. The weaknesses. Because Alya fears being a burden, being imposed on someone, adding to their strain, anything other than clarity can't help but raise doubts. When Cihan doesn't answer her question of 'Where will you stand?' with a clear with you or with you, distrust raises its ugly head. She starts asking herself if their relationship is what Cihan really wants now that Boran is back in the picture. She starts wondering whether Cihan will be able to shoulder the burden their relationship will add to his already weighed-down shoulders. It's harrowing to watch her be drawn to Cihan one instant, and pull back the next. Not because she doesn't love him, but because she can't bear to be another weight on Cihan's existence. That's what we see when she's shivering with fever. She wants him close, but she also doesn't want him to suffer. She keeps asking Cihan to leave, but he refuses to budge. And, that cures and hurts at the same time. For some reason, when she says, 'I'm also trying to find a way,' I couldn't help but feel that a part of her is already reverting back to the old Alya. The longer Cihan refrains from giving Alya a clear answer, the more her doubts grow. The more their 'impossibility' takes over her love. The closer she grows to wanting to leave. This time, if she attempts to leave, it won't be because her feelings overwhelm her. It'll be because she can't bear to see Cihan hurt anymore. Cihan Albora Oh boy. I can already hear the jeers of 'coward' and 'gavat' (which, by the way, I find to be a really ugly word) ringing in my ears. Well, fcuk that. Let's get back to our analysis. I talked about how Cihan seems to be stuck between suppression and surrender when it comes to his guilt. And, I did think that almost losing Alya would break that spell. But, clearly, that's not the road that Gulizar wants to take. Perhaps she does want it to come down to conflict. I'm not sure yet. What I am sure of is that Cihan is already aware of what he wants. And it's not wanting to be BFFs with Boran at the expense of Alya, guilt be damned. You can see it in the way his answers get bolder every time Sadakat asks him about a divorce. This episode is the first time Cihan states outright that the burden of 'conscience' isn't his to bear because he merely did what Boran asked of him. In other words, he didn't plan on falling in love with Alya, but it happened, and if there's any blame in that, it's not on him or Alya. Here's what irks most people. He doesn't ever talk about what he wants. It's always 'What if Boran wants this' or 'What if Boran wants that.' In other words, it's a form of misdirection on his part. He knows what's in his heart, but he doesn't want to say it out loud. Another scene where you can clearly see what his choice will be is when he's taking care of Alya during her fever. The more Alya insists that he leave, the more he digs in his heels. Until finally, he says, 'I won't allow anyone to hurt you, I won't allow anyone to harm you, and that's how it will be until I draw my last breath.' People don't say things like. 'That's how it'll be as long as I live,' if they're not sure about what they want. This is Cihan's strength. His love, protective instincts, and his code of sticking up for the people he loves. Unfortunately, like Alya, that's also his weakness. Cihan's been trained to fight for his family and his people to his very last. And, that's one HUGE reason why he can't verbalize what's already screaming inside his mind and his heart. We know he can't live without Alya, he says as much in the last episode. He keeps buying time because he knows once he states those words - there's no turning back. And he knows exactly how ugly things could go because dealing with ugly has been his entire existence. People won't be kind to him or Alya in the place where they live (think back to how Demir sends his goons to insult Alya's mom). And besides all that, what if Boran doesn't want to let go? That's when shit will truly hit the fan, because once Cihan says he's with Alya, he'll be fighting his brother, standing up to his mother, breaking his family apart, endangering Albora with internal strife, and worst of all, risking Alya and Deniz's safety. And remember, unlike Alya, who can control her conscience because of an extenuating factor, Cihan has no such relief. So, what you see is a man trying to survive an impending hurricane in a straw hut. He knows when that storm hits, and it will, things will go to hell. Besides all that, there is his stupid conscience that just won't shut the hell up because of that code of his. To me, that's not cowardice. That's a man standing at the edge of a life-changing truth, and being undone by the gravity of it. It's almost as if his soul is negotiating with reality, hoping to avoid collateral damage, while grieving for the version of himself he knows won't survive after he states his truth. As we can see in the scene where he and Alya are saying goodbye, they're already a family. His heart has already made the choice, so much so that in that scene, even Sadakat and Nare see the invisible bonds tying Cihan to Alya and vice versa. It's not a question of if, merely when. The Last Nail in the Coffin The question on everyone's mind is, what will it be? The last nail in the coffin of Cihan and Boran's brotherhood. The point of no return. To me, the way things are shaping up, there will be a clash. Will the showdown happen when Boran wakes up, or will Cihan learn the truth about his brother and finally be set free? I don't know. I've always had the inkling that Boran isn't what he claims to be. I guess we'll find out soon. But until then, I'll be watching. Gladly. For both my babies. Till next time, happy reading, y'all. #CihAl #UzakŞehir
