Civilian take. We need patriots not politicians. The typical pick from the top brass of the military has become a politician under the traditional route. They might be a general, have risen in the ranks but to get to the top they kissed some ass... We need patriots.

I agree, a change is definitely needed. The out of touch, older commissioned officers are only out to advance their political interests at that level. It’s no longer about lethality, training, unit cohesion, or esprit de corps. I need to cover this in my podcast also.

Good choice. The kind of guy that will clean house and boost recruitment numbers to record levels. He’s a sword sharpener and the US military will be deadlier under his leadership.
