Hegseth is simply showcasing his lack of depth. Iran’s defensive plan didn’t involve their (miniscule) blue water Navy. Iran’s defensive plan didn’t involve their 50 and 60 year old F4s and F14s. It involved “lobbing missiles” (which are much more advanced than ours, by the way) at Gulf infrastructure and seizing the Strait of Hormuz. They’re still able to do both of those things. Hegseth’s statement is like saying in 1996 “all Mike Tyson has left is power”. Yeah, that’s his whole fucking strategy, dumb dumb.
