This is deflection - There are premiers across the country making comments that can be debated or criticized. Turning Danielle Smith's comments into a question of what country she belongs to doesn't answer the issue in front of us. Carney said from the beginning that he was the guy with the experience and the plan to handle Trump and get Canada a better deal. On August 17, when specifically asked about the possibility of negotiations failing and tariffs being imposed, he said: “I have plans for any situation that may arise.” Well, we're there. Stop questioning other Canadians' patriotism and show us Carney's plan for the outcome he told us he was prepared for.

I would encourage Peter to remember that premiers are supposed to prioritize the people of their province, not toe the Ottawa line.
