I watched this live, an amazing unforced mistake, he is so desperate to land a punch on Albanese he is foundering, Dutton is such a poor campaigner and a worse politician.

It's already been confirmed by Karvelas at the end of her programme that Marles spoke to his counterpart and Indonesia says it's not happening, won't be allowed, and hadn't had an approach.

All jokes aside, this must be as damaging to Australia's relationship with Indonesia as Morrison's attacks on China about the origin of coronavirus. Dutton is damaging our international interests in the quest for domestic political advantage. He is the opposite of a strong man.
