Bob Hawke created Medicare. Labor has systematically gutted it since then. The two Prime Ministers who did the most damage to Medicare were: 1.Julia Gillard — introduced means testing for the private health insurance rebate, forcing millions onto Medicare and overloading it. 2.Anthony Albanese — introduced the biggest bulk-billing cuts in history. Thousands of clinics have dropped bulk-billing because of Albo’s frozen and underfunded Medicare rebates. Peter Dutton didn’t gut Medicare. You did, Albo. Stop lying.
