Hi David if you think that Nicola Sturgeon knew about Peter Murrels embezzlement activities then it would be fair to say that you and all your Tory colleagues must have known about the 10 billion Covid taxpayers money embezzlement?

Anything to say, say it in public Nicola Sturgeon just did. Why won't you ? Not doing so shows a complete lack of honesty, integrity and credibility

Thanks. Watching Sturgeon quietly disappear to London after years of scandal and controversy, leaving the reputation of Scottish politics in the mire, is a bitter insult to many of us in Scotland, Let alone Salmond's family. She appears to have dodged meaningful accountability.

Thank you David. The dogs on the street know what happened and how the law was used. It is beyond reprehensible.

The part about the NEC is very interesting! I didn't know that! She obviously would have to keep him out!

Murrell stole from SNP. No public money involved. The Tories & pals stole public money to the tune of £10b. Yes, £10b. But Labour (who turned out to be equally corrupt) and the Tories want to focus on Sturgeon, who was cleared of wrongdoing. You wonder why we want independence?!

Thank you for this David. Your old friend Alex didn’t deserve what Sturgeon and her cabal put him and his family through. I hope justice is done and Sturgeon pays for what she did to him.

Yer a good man David. That last line is absolutely true. And we in Scotland, regardless of our constitutional and political beliefs, need to root out the cancer of Sturgeonism once and for all. We need to start with the removal of the Lord Advocate from government, a role that has been fatally undermined by Sturgeon and Dorothy Bain. And an independent judicial review of the whole sorry saga is required so that we can unmask the conspirators, bring them to justice and wipe the slate clean.

superb, no-one with a functioning brain is capable of trusting Sturgeon. A good use of parliamentary privilege and she, her cabal and dealings should definitely be investigated to the utmost degree.

You are an honourable man David, and a good friend to Alec. Everyone in the Edinburgh chatterati knows what went on. Sturgeon has a history of dishonesty going back to her ejection from the legal profession for that exact reason. This is the greatest political scandal in history

I was no fan of Alex Salmond, but when followed by Sturgeon it was evident what a statesman he was. She was the worst thing that ever happened to Scotland, well done for highlighting her criminality.

@MightyMightyO1 This needs to be investigated independently. Not a single member of Holyrood or the Scottish justice system should be anywhere near. And not just the SNP. All of them.

Encouraging the video clip to be circulated on social media whilst claiming Parliamentary privilege is political cowardice. State it word for word in front of the media outside of that protection. Why won't you ? PS The UK media should be insisting that you do. Why aren't they?

The Lord Advocate should be in the spotlight here as well. The whole of Scottish Politics and the Judiciary are no better than North Korea

Well said. When Murrel’s thieving was revealed I suspected they fitted up Alex Salmond to hide the truth. Scotland is a broken corrupt mess. A whole range of people need to go to prison for this.

You would say it outside of parliament if you weren’t a coward. You hide behind parliamentary privilege because you know you would face legal action for spreading lies with absolutely no evidence to back your accusations. Prove me wrong.

@WingsScotland Too many Scots refuse to even consider wrongdoing, because they’ve been duped in to believing the SNP are still the route to independence. Never going to happen while they have secrets to keep covered.

Thank you for speaking up for the people of Scotland. Holyrood, with its grip on many public institutions, forms a nest of vipers, & needs sorting out or closing down. The concept of honour & integrity in public office is void. Continuing without radical change is not an option.

An attempt to pervert the course of justice. "The same day Salmond won his case, Leslie Evans, the Permanent Secretary, sent a message to a colleague saying the battle was lost, but not the war. Hardly the language of an impartial senior civil servant. "Senior figures at the top of the Scottish Government appear to have colluded to ensure that Salmond was reported to Police Scotland. "There is evidence of contact between figures in the Scottish Government and officers of the Scottish National Party and WhatsApp messages reveal Liz Lloyd was convening a 'Council of War' WhatsApp group. "The whistleblower then revealed communications from Sue Ruddick, then SNP's chief operating officer, that in their words, points to collusion, perjury, up to criminal conspiracy. In the communication, she, along with the then Chief Executive of the SNP, Peter Murrell, encouraged and coached complainants into reporting Salmond to the police. "Appearing at the Holyrood inquiry in December 2020, Murrell was asked whether he was part of this so-called Council of War WhatsApp group. Murrell denied even using WhatsApp, yet it then emerged he did have WhatsApp and it had been used within weeks of the evidence session. Yet another clear lie. The House may now wonder what the Scottish Government investigation had to do with the Scottish National Party in the first place. "The answer is provided by Anne Harvey, a qualified lawyer who was then senior official for the SNP in this House, who wisely refused to have anything to do with what she characterised as a witch-hunt." "I recommend colleagues read again my debate from 16th March 2021, since in that debate I outlined the actions of senior officers of the SNP, Peter Murrell, Sue Ruddick, their compliance officer, Ian McCann, whose interference in an ongoing police inquiry represented nothing less than an attempt to pervert the course of justice." #DavidDavis #Justice4Salmond
